What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

I was called a golden retriever. Or rather that I have an aura of a golden retriever. I don’t know if it was a compliment or not because I don’t know anything about dogs. It was a funny conversation nevertheless.

They slobber a lot.:D

No!
They are wonderful companions!

Yup.
A little over a year ago, I had to have what was probably one of the most horrible talks I’ll ever have to have, in the home of a family I had never met before.
Their Golden Retriever sat next to my leg so I could have my hand on her head for the worst parts and moved to other people when it was obvious it was extra difficult for them.

Someone swiped a $20 stack of firewood from our farmstand this weekend.

I was pissed, but thought (maybe rationalized) that maybe they needed it worse than I needed the $20.

Opened up the lock box this afternoon after work and there was a $20 bill with a note that said “sorry” on it.

Good karma. Gotta pay that one forward!!

On the train, listening to 4 American tourists. Every so often they get really excited seeing a lake and point them out to each other. “Ooh, look there’s another lake!”

It’s fun and cute to see them so excited, and it’s also kinda funny, because the things they keep pointing out to each other are mostly tiny ponds.

Sounds very familiar...you should see what happens if they see a Moose or a Bear

Apparently, a mithril sword is only best for non-mana users since, while it is the strongest metal, infusing it with mana will weaken it quickly. For our mana user, there is only one material that the blacksmith thinks will work. And they will have to retrieve it from a dragon lair.

Whether fortunately or unfortunately (it's even odds and flip a coin), they shouldn't have to actually fight the dragon.

Ayup. Apparently for mana wielders dragon poop is quite the thing to forge their weapons.

And I can not stop laughing.

I was on my early morning run and someone smiled and said hello.

Its the simples things :)
This is sometimes all you need to make your day really nice - a tiny act of kindness is or even just acknowledging you exist.

I had a similar moment with someone sitting across from me on the tram this morning when I went to the office. She asked me where I have bought my shoes and then wished me a good day when I got off the tram. Made me smile for sure. :)
