What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

Check this out!

It’s a headband that matches the mittens I made earlier. Now the only thing missing is a home perm kit so that I can get the right puffy hairstyle to truly bring out the headband.

Evokes memories of snow fights boys against girls.

I remember those too. I had a bright green, puffy coat with white dots and a white head band.

My puffy coat was baby blue and the headband white.
When I was well into my 20’s, I met a guy at a New Years Party. We were trying all evening to find out where we knew each other from.
While we were out toasting with Champagne and shooting fireworks we finally realised that our parents used to be friends and that we had had one of those snow fights with his siblings and friends when we were visiting them.
Somehow it turned out that you never get too old or too well dressed for snow fights.

“12 lash discipline-bor” instead of 12 month Euribor and Nasdaq heels. (It’s only funny in Finnish.)

I’m really not fond of our new government but they do have a certain entertainment value.
This is our new minister of defence lamenting, in an interview on national television, how slow the old government were at strengthening cyber security and going on about how much better it will be now with him.

In the background you can clearly see the username and password for his party’s social media account.
I mean, it’s debatable how funny it really is having him as a minister of defence in times like these, but I prefer to laugh rather than cry as long as I can.

I saw this too and laughed hard. 😂

My wife and I got high last night and she was helping me proofread a story I am looking to submit here.

It took me being high to realize how bad, cheesy and trite this story is. (I know im my own worst critic.). I’ll still publish it when it’s done, but we both laughed at the dialogue so hard.

We co-wrote a review and laughed our asses off:
“It’s hard to say whether this author is incompetent, completely juvenile, insane or brilliant for writing in a way that sounds so stupid.

This is honestly one of the worst, most base, inane stories I’ve ever read. The dialogue is beyond laughable.“:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Went to a ballet matinee that was so good. Goosebumps, slight tearing up as well. Tacos, guac and house margaritas after that.

What a damn fine Saturday after a sucky week. 😁

Daughter is invited to a Halloween party and going as Sallyface. She bought a paper mask that she’s going to paint and though it’s supposed to be a child size, its way too big for her. She is now called Shrink head by her loving family.

Got my hair dyed indigo today.

I would post a pic, but the camera on my phone is crappy, and it doesn't really pick up the blue very well.

Cool!
Must be a bit of a process though with your dark hair?

My youngest, who has about the same dark blonde/light brown hair that I have (well, mine is partly silver grey now), had her ends dyed a royal blue a few years ago. She had to have them bleached a bit for it to take.

She was totally confused when the blue faded and the hair beneath was reddish.
I told her about the first time I had highlights done in my teens and had to sit there for ever because whenever they checked a strand it was still Pippi Longstocking coloured - red pigments hide and die hard in our hair it seems.
With the remaining blue, they turned a pretty wine colour on her though, that was more or less permanent, so a total win but surprising.

I actually tried a dye that's supposed to be for dark hair, so that you can color it without bleaching it. It worked ok, I guess, but my hair is gray enough now that I have some pretty bright blue streaks in it. :D

I have the same problem with the weird red pigments in my hair, which is strange because it's very much ash brown and not reddish at all. But when you bleach it, it turns orange!

Highlights, or is that bluelights, for free!

Yeah, I was always annoyed that they were hiding, because I’d have loved to have red hair.

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in "Pun-ishment..."

But I was still laughing, so...
