What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

I went out to take some pictures of glittery world for @seela this morning.
When I came back inside I, distractedly shivering, locked the door. We normally don’t do that during the day when we are busy running around.
Mr A (sarcastically from the kitchen): So, you’re locking the door to keep the cold out?

Well, you never know with that sneaky, insidious cold, right?😊

Ha, love both the pics and Mr A's sense of humor! :)

My smiles: wrapping gifts with J, a clean home, The Initiative.

No work today. Planning to take a little walk by the river amidst the snowy trees instead today, hoping to spot a white throated dipper. The snow will be so crunchy because it’s pretty cold today, love that sound.

Oh, that sounds great!

-13°C here.
Have to work but hopefully not a full day and it includes a nice drive anyway.
At least I hope it will be. Not everyone realizes that salt doesn’t work in this cold…

Being well enough to be able to play a bit with Goddess last night after being sick so long, and last day of work before the holidays :D

This could also go in the what pissed you off today thread, but a good outcome.

Went down to our farm to check on the chickens, start the tractor up and fill up some firewood bins. My truck wouldn’t start. Dashboard going crazy. My neighbor was home - a good mechanic. Quickly diagnosed that it was the alternator.

He is such a can-do kind of guy, we both ran to the local auto parts store and swapped out the alternator. Took a few hours and the temperature plummeted yesterday after the front moved thru.

Some cold fuckin hands yesterday! But a happy pickup and owner. Good neighbors are good to have.

I would have been all night doing this myself.

Picked up my daughter from the sports centre on a rainy, windy evening. As I waited in the lobby I made eye contact with a new staff member. She is an attractive woman and I pretended to have a question about an upcoming event to get started. We had a great time chatting and she kept on moving closer to me, smiling all the time, just a lovely vibe.

Remembering last night's cuddle time made me smile all day today! The money I made at work and the cross-stitch progress I made didn't hurt, either. It's been a pretty good day. :)
Nice! There should be an active handicraft thread here where people could showcase the cool things they make. ☺️

I could make one, if you thought someone besides just me would post in it. :)
