What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

Today's been a good day.

I talked to Daddy for a little while, and he told me I did a good job ignoring my imposter syndrome and working for seven hours last night (and doing 182 minutes). Then, I made some more money today on my independent platform (taking the day off from the company today). When I went outside to go pick up my McDonald's I ordered, there was an orange kitty sitting on the rail of the porch, and it let me pet it! And then, when I got to McDonald's, the people there had written "Thank you!" on my box and had actually included ketchup inside, which never happens.

So, yeah, good day so far. :)

Today has been much better. I am glad for it. I even got out for a bit. It’s raining and thundering and I can’t help but remember the last time I made love in a storm like this. It’s been ages. Nostalgia is a poor substitute but it is a nice companion when you have nothing else it will do.

Black bean and sweet potato patty with tons of warm and deep spice action, avocado “mayo”, pickled red onion and lettuce, tomato optional, potato buns. I cooked for a vegan friend. Very tasty, will make again. :)

Oooh, that sounds good!

Just talked about this with the kids, as they get a lot of meat substitutes in the school cafeterias and because several of their friends who come here at times are vegetarians or vegans.

The best thing is that it was very quick to make. The buns were store bought and the patties are something I’ve made often either with carrots or sweet potato so it came together very quickly.

My wife HATES the mall. HATES. However, as a busty gal, finding good bras has always been a chore. So I finally managed to drag her out to the local mall where Lane Bryant and Torrid (plus-sized lady's stores) can be found.
First, there are the awesome pretzels, then finally finding some terrific bras and panties, and then Häagen-Dazs on the way out made for an excellent afternoon that my wife genuinely enjoyed and was very appreciative of. Which she showed me after we got home. So plenty of smiles all around. A good day. :giggle:

This is going to be a bit wordy, and no names as there are health issues involved.

The undisputed most delightful person on the planet types much faster than I do. She is way more clever than I will ever be. Sometimes the conversation moves too fast for me to catch her subtleties. I didn’t catch this until I reread it.

She’s not feeling great. I sent her a silly picture of a t-shirt that mentioned her ailment.

Me: When you beat this, I’m sending you that shirt.
Her: Yess!!! #NEWMOTIVATION!
Me: If you do something stupid, like die, no shirt.
Her: ……Yeah. That does seem kinda fair.

I love you tons and you are hilarious! ❤️❤️❤️

ETA @AmberLGreen and @cheekygirl75. Shuddup. I know everybody types faster than me and is more clever than I am.

I managed to help oldest child who is preparing for her last physics exam with a problem she had gotten stuck on.

Apart from making me do a happy dance and singing ”She’s got it, yeah baby…”, I find the brain really fascinating.
I mean, it has been a lot of years since I did that course and this was not a part I’ve had much use of. Still, it’s there somewhere in the memory banks, I can access it and I can use it better for problem solving than I could back then (and she can now) and as I said, it is not from using it all this time.

Yes! I’ve noticed the same thing with math and especially with grammar of various languages. What felt so difficult back in the day is clear as day now.
