The same scene - every time I witness it.

We put peanuts out on our balcony every day, along with seeds in the back yard, and watch the birds chow down. Only when we put the peanuts on the balcony and the deck, we get an extra treat most days, like today.

Our cat, Coco, is a lazy-ass cat. As maybe a few in lit will understand, she likes to play while on her back with her legs spread. She demands that we go to her so she can play - provided she doesn't have to move - ever.

But that isn't what happens when we feed the birds the peanuts. She is completely engaged with the blue jays feeding. She reminds us of an old man leering into the window in the red light district in Amsterdam while she makes her old man noises in excitement.

That's why, when we feed the birds, we refer to it as, "Coco's Peep Show." It made me smile again today as I watched.
