What pissed you off today? Mark II

Being mocked because of disabilities I never asked for or wanted as if they were nothing and had no influence on my life. Like I asked to fall down 2-8 times a day. Or to be in pain all the damn time.

I've had disabilities for 3 decades & pain constantly, but I am constantly pissed at people who use their disabilities as a crutch or excuse.

Today? Didn't know until laundry was soaked I didn't have enough on the card to dry them. Also, called in pill refill I tale 2x a day, but forgot to pick them up, so will have to see a doctor tomorrow before I can take them.

Monday and my alarm going off to hike with my GF is pissing me off right about now...

Numpties not only cocking up an order (it was urgent but, because of their mistake, it no longer is) but royally fucking up putting it right.

Losing $10,000 in digital poker.
Grhahgahhgh

(Not real money though :D)

Being bumped from one call handling centre queue to another, and then to another, before finding out that the only person who can deal with my query is away on holiday for two weeks.
.

Doctor telling me he would send referral required by a local specialist I want to start seeing but not when, meaning I have to keep appt. with farther-away guy next week.

 I found flights with the best schedule for a decent price and Mister says, "let me check this other thing first, don't book yet."

I knew what he was checking and knew it wouldn't be good, but I said, "ok."

Now the best schedules are gone and the prices for the crap schedules have gone higher.

Been there, done that  *hug*. I hope you get your holiday sorted out xx

Can you phone the doctor's office, check when the referral is being sent and then check with the specialist's office and see how long the wait is likely to be from them receiving the referral and see if this time scale allows you to cancel seeing the current consultant? However, if there is possibility you might not have good relationship with the new specialist it might be a good idea to maintain relationship with your care further away specialist in case you feel they understand your situation better and apply a treatment protocol you feel is more suited to you.

Could maybe do that... However, last time I made an appointment at the place I went today, they told me I'd be seeing some guy (forget name) since the person I normally see was helping at a branch in another town. When I made today's appointment, the person said last time I was there (the prior week), I had seen __ (not the person they had said beforehand it would be).

Thanks.:rose: Wish it were more of a holiday. It's a destination wedding. I'm thinking destination weddings should be banned. (>_<) :sigh: Mexico and I'll be there long enough to cry about the bill and only see a resort.

Ugh. I think the best way to do a destination wedding is to have the invite include something like "we understand if you can't make it there and we'll be having a party afterwards close to home, so you can come to that instead".

But I know of folk who insisted on having their wedding at an expensive resort (the sort that's on a remote island completely owned by the resort company, so you're paying $5 for a Coke) and then took it as a mortal insult that some people didn't want to shell out thousands to attend.

Oh, you might try clearing browser cookies or viewing from a different browser altogether. Some sites will use cookies to jack up their prices if you check and then come back later, on the assumption that you must've looked elsewhere and been unable to find a better deal. Probably won't help if the schedules are gone altogether, but worth trying.

I don't think they would get upset if we couldn't make it, but my husband doesn't want to not go and celebrate with them as the groom is a good friend. The rooms are crazy expensive alone so we're only able to stay a couple of days for the wedding. …>_<…

I didn't think about that. I'll give it another look and whatever is available will have to do. :) Thanks for the tip.

As an aside, I really like our newer regulars.:rose:

What's upsetting me is that my girl dog, my shadow, my kindred soul in a dog, has had to back into the vets this morning for intravenous support.

I could not go in with her, because I had to go to my own stupid appointment. I was lucky G was here and could go with her, so she had a 'parent' with her. There are plenty who would take her, but it's different to be taken with love, I think. I am hoping she can come home tonight.

*hug*

Hope everything goes well and that's she's well enough to come home for a cuddle :rose:
