Elle, I'm so sorry! *hugs*
This being said as I lie between a Boxer and 2 cats. They allow me a slice of bed.
They mean the world to me. I'm with ya.
Please keep us posted!

I pissed me off today.
I think too much about things I have no control over. Stop it!!!

Your dog will be fine. Guaranteed.

On the topic of pets:
I worry far more for the mental condition of my cat than its physical condition. He'll sometimes do such silly and asinine things that I think he might be the reincarnation of a worm or some other sort of intellectually lesser creature.

Hopefully your dog will be much better after her overnight holiday Elle :rose:

Speaking of idiotic cats, I passed one on my run just now, sitting in the grass next to the footpath, away from the road.

When I passed it later on, it had crossed over and was sitting in the road, watching something in the hedge, and being swerved around by every passing car

It showed no signs of distress: it was sitting upright, ears forward and alert, with its tail gently twitching.

I wonder if it has kept count of its lives...

I'e met cats like that. I've parked my car, got out and MOVED cats like that, and seen them in the road in the same or similar place on the return journey later.

I do not mind stopping, slowing, waiting for a cat or other animal, in fact, I think it's in a way healthy for us, to recognise our journey is not the only thing in the world, but the problem is other drivers do not even notice the car, or even.....I fear, some people, aim for it. :(.

Recently, I swerved around a partridge that had wandered onto a motorway somehow. Hubby was with me and said I'd have had a problem if I'd caused an accident by not hitting the bird. I don't know whether he's right, or if it applies here, but he said he'd read about someone in Canada who had swerved to avoid an animal in the road, and another vehicle had been hit, causing serious injury (maybe someone died, I can't remember) and the first driver was facing criminal proceedings.

But it's just instinctive, isn't it? I can't imagine deliberately driving over an animal :(

I think that in the case you're referring to, LallyH, she stopped to help ducks and caused 2 deaths on the highway. :(

Not a simple case either. The woman had taken precautions when she stopped to help the ducks. She pulled as close to the median as possible, put on her hazard lights, and left her van in neutral so it would not be like a brick wall if someone hit it. The first car to come up changed lanes and avoided the van. The second vehicle was a motorcycle carrying a man and his teen-aged daughter. He was driving above the speed limit and neither he nor his daughter were wearing legal helmets. He drove straight into the van. The Crown's only concern was that the woman had knowingly performed a dangerous and illegal act which resulted, no matter what else may have been involved, in the death of two people.

Ungodly heat. 119 is too much. Just, way too much.
And cranky people. And traffic. And YouTube not working.
Alright everything pissed me off today.

They are keeping her overnight. One of our cats is much brighter than the other, however, the less bright one is incredible good at getting exactly what she wants from all of us, so.....it's arguable her intelligence of a different sort is greater. :D

Hope your dog will be better! :rose:

Walking to local store to get a few snacks for when I watched something on TV. No problems, but I noticed 2 people cross the street just ahead of me. Again, no problem, except when they were out of view, I recalled store I was headed into had changed hours recently, & was closing in about a half-hour.

Made purchases fast & easy. Headed back home, found myself walking behind same 2, who were walking back to where they'd begun while enjoying their new purchases from the local place called (Street I Live On) Tobacco... Kept turning to look at each other while conversing, seemingly intentionally & increasingly slowing-down b/c they'd noticed I was behind them.

People who think everything needs to be multimedia with bells and whistles. Wasted two hours of my life completing a training course with unnecessary video (which takes FOREVER to load on my 22k work connection) and pointless "interactivity" that meant I needed to use two different browsers.

The whole thing could have been given as a three- or four-page Word document without losing ANY worthwhile content. But I guess then the providers wouldn't be able to charge as much for it.

(And then I got a migraine, my first in years. Grr.)

Agreed. Called a number today to let govt. group they need to call me @ a different number than the one on the mailing I got last week (to let me know when the phone interview they scheduled without checking my schedule) next month will be.

Noticed on mailing it said I also need to complete a written form they mailed me, or I could do so online. Went to do so on Website (will still on hold on phone call), & they asked me to Login. Didn't remember Password, so they said one had been sent to my registered E-mail... 4 hours later, still nothing.

Mother just shows up without warning when I've already made plans with mother in law to spend time with my kiddos. My mother has been here every day for the last week, mind you. Mother gets pissed and storms out in front of mother in law who then spends the next 45 minutes saying she didn't want to make my mom mad and would leave if it was easier. 😣
