Google trends showing that:
"What does it mean to leave the EU" and
"What is the EU"
Being the most googled search terms in the UK AFTER the referendum results came in.

Regardless of their party, how many of these people voted?

I hate people.

Kill me now.

Eugh
With stories like these I couldn't care less about whether the people voted remain or leave. The Leave voters are having "Regrexit", "I thought I was making a symbolic vote", "I didn't even know what the EU was when I voted leave", "I didn't think my vote would really matter" as well as Remain voters from what I can tell, especially the younger generation, such as being under the false impression that Remain had it locked down so they didn't bother to go out and vote.

This is all their own faults for being too bloody inept and irresponsible to take part in such a major decision.

Kill them all I say.

I've stopped reading or listening to the news - I am so embarrassed that I live in a country that is apparently peopled with morons. Even my quiet reserved husband has announced unilaterally that we are all going to join any demonstration we can, particularly any held in London

In other more mundane news, my knee is too painful to be covered even with a duvet, but in order to be able to stick it out of bed, I've had to swap sides.

This. Is. So. Wrong.

I have slept on the other side for 20 years

It's that bad? And those people really just ignored you? Dear Vishnu, we really do live in a country of idiots.

Cute!

It's ok to walk on, but I've grazed the skin pretty badly and it's so bruised and swollen, it's very painful to touch. I'm hoping it's better by tomorrow because I don't feel I can turn up to meetings in shorts

I tore my meniscus two months ago. The pain is so weird. I can walk on it, it seems to have healed and then out of the blue in the most random times, like lying in bed it will hurt to the point I can't bear it.

Yuk that you're on the other side now! :rose:

Maybe shorts would give you an edge.

Donald Trump's campaign staff not creating or running a single campaign ad.

I'm certain he'd cause an economic crisis and doesn't seem to have a single consistent position, but I feel that if enough people came to him and asked for something like universal healthcare he'd implement it. Being the super-populist that he is. With Clinton they're certifiably getting none of that.

But instead of using psychology and running snappy campaign ads everything is silent.

He's going to lose at this rate unless he really hammers her in the debates.

I have to. I just can't let that misogynist orange fuck be our President. :(

Indeed. I have no desire to have an idiotic, fascist, Cheeto in a bad hair piece lead anything other than himself off a cliff. On the other hand,

" "My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know, I just, I don't understand it."
- Hillary Clinton

... Think I'll just write in Jeffrey Lebowski. #Theypeedonmyfuckingrug

Yeah, I hate doing that...I CAN'T vote for hillabitch, I just.... Can't.

That was me during Bush/Kerry. It was purely a wouldn't/couldn't choice. I still went, and voted on almost all of the other offices and items. We had a major school funding ballot that election, which was the most important issue for me.

I keep fantasizing about having a "no" vote. If enough "no's" are cast, the party has to go back and find a more viable candidate. Yes, I have a very rich and varied fantasy life, why do you ask? :D

Desperately hoping for Bernie to come through. (See, what did I tell ya?)

Why are we not funding this??!!!

Earlier this evening there was a knock on our front door, and two children were standing there clutching a sponsorship form and a bag of money. They were maybe 7 years old and were gabbling away so fast I couldn't tell what they were saying at first.

Eventually I realised that they were collecting money for my kids' favourite teacher from primary school who was fundraising. This guy is a fantastic teacher and all the kids at school adored him. He was a sports guy, and each year he took a bunch of children to Switzerland to go skiing during the Easter holidays. Not only did he give up his own holiday, but persuaded other teachers to go with him to help. My son went twice and had a fabulous time.

One of the women who went skiing was the Reception teacher, and she brought her daughter each year who was the same age as my son, but who went to a different school.

The fundraising is for research into a rare form of meningitis which apparently had killed this girl last autumn - she was taken ill during her first term at university and died shortly after.

Life is really shit sometimes.
