My stick blender broke. I guess half a banana and frozen bilberries were too much for it to handle this morning. So annoying.

I can sympathize, mine broke yesterday. Now I've got to get a new one. I use it a lot for soups, too.

I’m hoping that mine just overheated and it’ll start working again once it cools down. But if it did overheat, it happened suspiciously fast and with relatively little use, so it might be time to replace it either way.

Yeah, mine's making a whirring sound, but the blade isn't spinning. I guess, like everything else, they're only made to last for a few years, no matter how much you pay. And yet, we're supposed to try and keep stuff out of the landfill. Go figure.

Thanks, I’m feeling a lot better today. The fever is mostly gone, now I just have a stuffy nose from hell to deal with and that’s making me feel very under the weather. I don’t understand how this feels so bad now when having the sniffles a few times a year was the norm for me for all those years.

Clearly I have to build back my being sick stamina little by little.

What really pisses me off most days right now though, is the election campaign.
Some of those parties should present their policies during Medieval Week, rather than at campaign meets and press conferences in 2022.

My TV is really just a screen for streaming.
I still read some news, I have people on social media who share things and people in my life who like to talk politics.
There is also a first time voter in the house, which brings the topic a bit extra spotlight.

Also, not hearing it is one thing. They are still out there influencing the society we live in.

I’m sorry, I know you wanted to help but I’m afraid this is one of the things that will keep pissing me off.

Argh, Duolingo updated and now it’s totally different. Zero flexibility in what order to learn the lessons or when to go deeper in a topic and when basics of it were enough for the time being. No more stories either as far as I can see. And they still haven’t added the grammar notes to all languages even though they are (were?) available in the browser version.

I’m not happy.
