gnats and fruit flies are both members of the same family. There must be some decaying fruit or something like that near by that they are using for their incubation/reproduction area. If and when you find it, it will have a lot of those flying buggers around as well as little pods that look like seeds. These pods are small, but large enough that you can see them with your naked eye. They might look similar to small grains of rice, but slightly darker in color.
Those are pods that will hatch more of the pests. Get rid of the decaying or overly ripe fruit or whatever as well as these pods. The flying adults will die, once you remove the food source. Until then, you will constantly have more and more as they reproduce exponentially.
Incidentally, gnats are usually dark in color, almost black. Fruit flies are brownish, and may even look kind of red. No matter which it is, they're all pests. As long as they have something to feed and reproduce on, you'll never get rid of them.
Fetlife pissed me off today. Or specifically, the caretakers.
I had a demotivational poster up that happened to have kids on it. The demotivational poster was 100% completely nonsexual, but it was removed due to the fact that someone reported it, and the caretakers told me that no pictures of minors were allowed, period, no matter what.
Okay, that's fine, I don't mind that at all.
However, when I report a thread that has EXPLICIT UNDERAGE SEXUALITY in it, the caretakers not only completely ignore me, but don't remove, edit or even warn the OP.
So a completely nonsexual demotivational poster is removed, but explicit underage sexuality isn't.
Fuck you caretakers, you need to get your fucking rules straight.
I thought vampires were "in" these days. Have I missed something... again?
NO!!! This whole topic is now about my allergies! Betticus has spoken...
lets hope its not , rubber, latex or PVC! lol lol lolThis made me giggle, just a little.
So sorry you're suffering. I for one, am simply dying to know what you're allergic to, how you deal with them, how they affect your daily life, how much you'd like them to simply disappear and any other information you'd be willing to impart.
I can't help but wonder if the little kitty is a part of the problem.....
Yet another new poster who doesn't know the difference between "dominate" and "dominant."
Why can't they come up with something new to fuck up?
You know, I think it's less about knowing the difference, and more about lazy pronunciation. That's how the word sounds to them in that sentence, so that's how they spell it.
Having watched a number of fb posts from my brother where he writes 'he's' instead of 'his' and my alltime favourite I see everywhere, 'could of' instead of 'could have', that's my conclusion.

This could of and would of business really irks me. And I'm not even a native speaker, so I shouldn't really care, because I make plenty of mistakes myself, too. But that one is especially annoying to me, so I just can't let it slide. Another personal favorite is to v. too.
Thanks to each of you for understanding my snit over something we see here month after month after month.noun > verb
dominant > dominate
ruminant > ruminate
immigrant > immigrate
intoxicant > intoxicate
supplicant > supplicate
or, adj. > verb
dominant > dominate
radiant > radiate
flagellant >flagellate
It's a common enough English usage, so I'm not sure why there's so much confusion over it. There are -ent words that also follow the pattern. It might be that dominant is used less as a noun outside of BDSM and, perhaps, the sciences. The lay person uses it, primarily, as an adjective, as in "He is a dominant man."
I sympathize with your frustration.

It *is* possible; however, one cannot tell, since she has no location listed. Given her age and the general tenor and construction of her posts, I am postulating that she likely is a native English speaker with an average American public high school education. Is it possible english isn't her first language?
