What pissed you off today?

turns out icky cramps are actually a 3 cm ovarian cyst. Which isn't so bad, except my pain escalated on my way home (of course) and now i'm bent over, desperately wanting to both puke and shit, begging my norco to kick in. shoot me now -.-

Have you ever tried eating TOFU? Before the event that sends one home early from a conference and wrecks an otherwise perfectly good shift at work? But seriously? Try it sometime if you think of it. I like deep fried tofu in Szechuan spiced veggies - served hot. mmmm, tastes so good and is so good for you.

Good luck:rose:

Sorry I only just saw your post. I have not tried tofu, because i do not like tofu. And I usually can not anticipate cramps. However, it turns out that this ended up being ovarian cyst pain, so I'm not sure if it would work anyways. I have been generally avoiding soy, as it has really high levels of estrogen and I'm already a little hormonally whacky. That and I don't like it.

Have you tried taking a really hot shower? I find sitting down in the shower and letting the hot water hit where the pain is helps sometimes.

Also a hot water bottle of my stomach while curling up in the fetal position until I pass out from the pain works as well. Once the pain hits I can't keep painkillers down.

A change that has meant a very sad day for me. I'm pissed and generally unpleasant to interact with.

Crabcakes for dinner, I think.

*hugs* look after yourself and take time out for yourself if you need it. I would recommend a punching bag that looks like a smurf but apparently thats smurfist.

The fems in my family have had problems with endometriosis and with one she had internal scar tissue that attached some intestine to her uterus. Ended up having to have the hysterectomy but she would end up doubled over in pain, unable to straighten up. Another sister had ovarian cysts, dunno if they are related but might ask your ob/gyn about it.

So, compared to everyone who posted above me, my gripe is rather piddley. And I hope everyone is doing better tonight.

In-laws.

So my husband and I are facing a life change that requires a move of a great distance. We have two dogs, a his and hers.
My MIL informed us that if the dogs needed temporary housing they would take my husbands dog, but not my dog.

My dog went through a rather extended digging phase and they have never forgotten. (And I will admit he does occasionally still dig) They have conveniently forgotten that their dog went thru the digging phase, their daughters dog is currently in the dig and chew phase and the husbands dog did and sometimes still does dig.

So they won't take my dog in, but my husbands unaltered male is welcome in the same house as his sisters young unaltered female dog.

How do we super size the rolleyes smillie?

Thanks, I will. I like your plan. If not a smurf, I have a list of heinous politicians I can use, and other people that clearly need a beating... :)

BlueEyes - talk about the period from hell! You have many caring friends here and that's great to see. I hope you are feeling better, and well - now that you know what it is that is causing such pain you'll have a solution in place soon.

Yeah, tofu - works for some, not for others; and a little bit of tofu goes a loooong way :)

Be well.:rose:

I don't like touching the floor of a shower with anything but my feet, but showering itself does help :) and I've been pretty much living with an electric heating pad on my stomach, which is also helping a lot.

Thanks, everyone,for your ideas :D

For me... This weeks layers of unpleasant surprises. It seems to have this undertone of suckage for so many radtacular people.

Immature fuck-wad "masters", pissing me off enough that I'm starting to cuss today.

Having an ear infection and on the 6th day of antibiotics and 2 types of ear drops, my eardrum ruptures.

Loud, inconsiderate neighbors (though I haven't heard them in the past few hours, so that is a great improvement!)

Having to leave a very pleasant and enjoyable conference due to a sudden appearance of bad menstrual cramps. Also getting to look forward to bad menstrual cramps during an all-night work shift.

Needless to say, I am pulling out every "kill the menstrual pain" stop I know and have found. Except Aleve. can't take Aleve :(

These fucking douchebags at Dreamhost. Their customer service used to be awesome. Now they're flaming assholes who are also, incidentally, completely unhelpful.

Thinking "you" have friends, only to be left completely alone when everything is hitting "you."

this fucking headache that won't go away and is interrupting my time with my baby :(

Despite the sign on the door of my apartment building, reminding smokers to not sit on the front stoop to smoke, I entered the building to the overwhelming smell of smoke again today. And then entered my apartment to smell it just as strongly. In the past, I smoked. But I tried to be courteous to others. It is so bad that when I was away on a trip last week and opened my suitcase to take out clothes, the smell of smoke wafted up at me. :(

report them.

My son and his wife being at the wrong end of an employer who thinks it's appropriate to inform the unaffected employees about a major change before those that are actually being affected. If you're going to require them to move to another city, quit jerking them around. Tell them the city and time frame and stick to it. Let them get on with their lives.

hi

not being able to have what i want when i want . And people judging you and not getting close to what i am about

Having zero interest in going through the job search steps today. I'm pissed at myself and yet just don't want to do it.

Sometimes its best to take the day off from something like that.
In my experience one can get so upset and frustrated that the attitude carries over and that's not the best first impression to make.
Keep the faith, something is out there that's perfect for you.

:rose: Thanks, I think I'll take a breather today and tomorrow and get back to it tomorrow afternoon.
