YES!!!! I used to go to rather eclectic parties in the mid-80s when I lived in Brooklyn. Hardly any guys would dance for anything that played, so it was usually random chemically altered chicks drifting around. BUT the DJ would play SAM and ALL the guys would get up and lurch around (aka white guys dancing). I still see that in my head whenever I think about the song!
