What would you do if Literotica suddenly went away?

I sometimes get the feeling that I'm the noisy table in the corner and the rest of the patrons are just glaring at one another and hoping I'll finish and leave :ROFLMAO::LOL:
Or at least get sloshed enough to expose yourself to the room

What if you woke up tomorrow and Literotica was gone? It’s a question you’ll likely never have to answer due to the fact that even if Laurel and Manu decide they want to spend the rest of their days sipping Pina Coladas in Tahiti, someone would have to pony up a lot of dough to acquire the site and in so doing, wouldn’t be shutting it down anytime soon. But what if? How would it change you? How many times a day do you visit the site/forum now? Do you have all your stories backed up?

I have to guiltily admit, Literotica is in my top 2-3 clicks each and every day. My life would be very different without it. How would it be for you?
In the more immediate future, I wonder what will happen when or if the states/places currently trying (and sort of succeeding) in banning PornHub and its ilk turn their attention to sites like this one. I get the feeling that it would be hard for the dynamic duo who seem to be the sole souls in charge of this place to jump the hurdles to existing those places try to put up.

When Lit disappears is when we find out whose reality is real.

Host overseas and do any work via VPN.

I'm not saying there aren't plausible work-arounds, just that they might be too expensive or too much hassle for them to want to bother with. I assume they're still at this so many years later because it's a labor of love, aside from presumably affording them some kind of livelihood, but put enough obstacles in someone's way and most will start to ask themselves if it's worth it to keep dodging aside, climbing over, etc.

I'd post some stories elsewhere, try Smashwords, ssol etc.
AO3 could take some of them, but that's really only for fanfic. But it does have links to various fandoms and writing communities, eg on Dreamwidth (the non-Russian evolution of Livejournal), so I'd probably end up dojng more chat there.

Or Reddit. There are some good subreddits, if you can find them...
AO3 has gladly hosted several of my original works and I’ve gotten plenty of kudos. Your stories may find a home there, fanfic or not.

Sounds like fun. Too bad I’m probably not invited. :(

I would be sad. I'd miss the banter here; I'd miss the ready audience for my smutty writing. But I'd keep writing the smut, and maybe one day I'd find somewhere else to put it (but I'd write it even if I didn't). If I had the opportunity I'd be inclined to follow some of the fine folks here wherever they might migrate to, if anywhere.

I doubt that will ever actually happen. It makes for great press coverage for their base, but people of all stripes consume porn. It's not going away in any states, any time soon.

I don’t care for social media much, but lit sorta fills that gap.

I’d miss my friends on the bdsm, fetish and sexuality, poetry and playground forums.

And I only occasionally read and write stories, but yeah, I’d miss that too. It’s a pretty great community. Yeah, there are some assholes, but most of the posters are sincere folks, I’ve found.

Made many online friendships here and a few in life ones too.

Splash Zone is extra $$

Ok I'm leaving.
A young couple are on vacation and they see a sign that they can't read. On the sign, "splash zone" is inexplicably in English. Thinking that it's a Gallagher style comedy show, they go in and get the last tickets in the splash zone.

Turns out that it's a sex show and the coup de grace is a chorus line of women squirting.

Edit: or it could be a line of men finishing off the show...

There's a couple different ways it could go.
