What would you tell your younger self if you could travel back in time?

For example, instinct said let the burger bun warm in the already hot toaster oven. My brain said turn on the toaster oven again to heat up the bun. Result? Burned burger bun. Even though my brain was being logical it was wrong.

That voice of knowing clarity that’s processed info faster than the logical conscious sometimes can

You are smart
You have promise
You can be anything you want
Don’t let others doubt your dreams
Trust your instinct
Older people aren’t always smart/kind
You don’t get to choose your family
It’s not always your fault.

Buy as much stock of Amazon, apple and Microsoft as you can.
Sometimes imaginary goods are worth more than physical goods....buy into Bitcoin
Don't pay your girl a surprise visit on the weekend she thinks you are supposed to be camping with the guys, you will not like what you see
When you find that person that is the Ying to your yang....don't pull out, that way she is stuck in your life one way or another

Mate, learn to write bad poetry. It gets you all the girls. Seriously, yeah.

(Oh shit, he's actually gonna listen to that advice? What a buffoon!)

I love you is just a ploy
a bj will keep a bf without fucking
one day you too will have bigger boobs :)

Don't be afraid to take the shot with a girl you like. If she passes, move on. But it's better than not going for it

Be okay with people not liking you. No matter what you do, you'll piss someone off or they'll just not like you from off the bat, and that's their loss, not yours. You *will* be the bitch in someone's life, be ok with that. Embrace the bitch.

And for fuck's sake, call their shit out sooner. Write shit down when it happens so they can't gaslight you into doubting your own memories and thoughts. Don't wait until it's a you-or-them situation re: YOUR mental health.

Stay away from:

- The boring ones
- The ones who don't have a sense of humour
- The self-centred ones.

All of these are warning signs. They won't get any better.

Don't compromise who you are trying to fit in with as many people as possible. In five years, ten years, the real ones will still be there for you.

Learn to handle rejection already you twat!
It isn't true that the worst thing she can say is "No", the worst thing she can do is look you up and down and say "Ew!".
You will still have to learnt to live with that.
Because you can't wait until it's a 100% safe shot to take each and every time. You will miss out of so much.

Don't clench up when that crazy chick tries to slip a finger in your ass during freshman year.

Sometimes it is going to hurt. But some other time long after the worst hurting is done, you will still realize that the memories are worth it.

If you give that one a hall pass to go and try out being with a girl, she will end up happily married to a lesbian who hates you.
She will be happy though.

Do you see the face of this woman? Memorize it. Swipe left on Tinder the second you see it.
I know you wont listen to me. But in the end, you will rather skinny dip in a glass recycling bin before you ever want to talk to her again.
I know this information will leak out of your brain the moment she does that thing with her tongue that you like. But trust me. It. Is. Not. Worth. It.

Tell your employer early on that if they want you to do somebody else's job on top of your own, you are going to need somebody else's paycheck on top of your own in order to do it.
Because burn-out and depression will leave a mark on you.
Keep your chin up, you get an offer for a better job before you give in to the fantasies of what your fist will look like hitting the director's face. But it is a real close race on that one.

On the lighter side I would say strive to be rich, not that it will ever happen. On a more serious level I would tell myself to take school more seriously, pick something that really interests you and don't give up until you master it.

Pay attention in math, not to Lauren sitting in the seat beside you! Math gets really interesting later on, and nothing ever happens with Lauren....

Keep your head on straight, little bro.

Don’t double major, and don’t feel like you need to know everything; specialize instead
Don’t read negatives into things when they’re not there
Don’t let yourself or anyone else convince you that feelings or caring are ‘wrong’
Let your optimism lead the way

Just don’t make decisions too impulsively for the long term. Live a lot and have some fun. Anyone who wants to force you into a decision isn’t for you.

What would you tell your younger self IF you could travel back in time??
Words of advice? Warnings? Encouragement? Reassuring?
What would you tell your younger self if you had the chance to do so???

Well, I will start.

I would tell myself "Avoid men like a plague, that shit will ruin you in sooooo many ways!! You think you can't do it, but you CAN. You gonna be just fine on your own! Oh and PLEASE, never EVER settle for less than you deserve and need.. Just don't do THAT to yourself!!!!!"

Then I would HUGG myself TIGHT and tell my younger self "You got this!!!" ❤️ Then I would leave quietly, hoping my younger self will do wiser life decisions than I have..

Thats what I would do.
What about you???

Next time follow your gut, it's ok to leave sooner.
