I don't like pink grapefruit on its own (or the non-pink, not at all), but I grew fond of a mix of pink grapefruit and tangerine juice that was on the shelves several years ago. Then I got put on a med that excluded grapefruit, so that was that. It made for delicious cocktails, too....champagne & grapefruit is a Greyhound. A GF called my version (with the pink & tangerine) a Whippet. :D

Dinner tonight is spaghetti & meatballs courtesy of DD2. We rejoiced last week because I found my favorite tapenade again, which I love in meatballs. I promised I would help and make some cheesy parm toast. Master let me get some roasted garlic & thyme bread when we went shopping yesterday. Yum!

Made some spicy fish tacos ...lips are BURNING while I type this! YUM!!! The cilantro lime sauce for them is so good I want to suck it out of the fish...just saying! :D
Having a Baileys, Coffee and a couple gingersnaps for dessert!!

Do you like other colours of grapefruit?

I would love to grow grapefruits, either red or pink. I've had lemon trees before, and oranges growing near by, but not grapefruit. I had considered calling my girl dog 'pamplemousse' but decided it was too likely to belong to another dog already. Hmm, I don't think I have ever put fresh grapefruit in porridge.........I wonder if it would be too bizarre with texture?

I like to eat them, but not drink the juice. Pink was the only juice I liked, until my friend stamped it out of me :(

Somewhat low calorie meal. Cabbage with salt and sesame oil, teriyaki konnyaku, rice and miso soup. I dunno if it's because I wake up early and start cooking, but I rarely finish what I serve myself. I try to make the portions small, too.

I have developed this extremely weird thing for hoop cheese. I DON'T EVEN LIKE CHEESE. What in the world is wrong with me?

Grilled pork chops with mushroom gravy, olive oil & pignoli couscous, and steamed broccoli.

Maybe because it's as un-cheesy as possible? :cattail:

(Full disclosure: I had to ask friends WTF "hoop cheese" even was.)

My usual chicken enchilada dish tonight, but we want to try some variations. Yay, collaboration!

Hi im new, I wanted to start writing a story by creating a thread and posting each chapter when I can and getting feedback. Is there a place I can do that on this site?

Read the stickies in the forums for rules and posting guidelines. I'm not sure why you wouldn't just submit your story to the site, but most forums wouldn't be appropriate for posting a story. Depending on the subject it may be acceptable for subforums like the Cafes or Lounges. Definitely read the rules of the boards before posting so you know what you're getting into.

This thread is for cooking. For an introductory thread there's one in the stickies of BDSMTalk. Here's the rules from the stickies in BDSMTalk, different boards have different rules so just be sure to check them before posting.

Well, I managed to screw up cornbread
A new brand of cornmeal, but still...!
It stuck to the pan and wouldn't come out without, errr, vigorous coaxing.
Oh well! Tastes great :D
Next time I will employ a bit of parchment paper.

Mmmmmm...sounds good to me:rose:

My usual recipe got doctored tonight with the addition of a few spices and a bag of frozen roasted corn (much to Master's delight). The debrief brought up a few more ideas for the next batch. :) I figure another year or two and this stuff will be perfect. :D

We had an omelet stuffed with onion, garlic, spinach and basil, half a leftover chicken breast each and roasted cherry tomatoes to go with it all.

I didn't feel like cooking, and tomorrow my parents are coming and I'll have to cook for them, so I wanted to take it easy today. Not that I'm planning anything extravagant for tomorrow either. I've just been in a cooking funk again.

I'm super excited! I am making a mixed rice with the sanma we bought. (*^_^*)
I have some frozen okra so I'm going to make a simple salad with it and I'll probably just make up some side dishes as I go.
