I should have mentioned, zucchini is out as well :l
Maybe multiple nuts and raisins? And just follow zucchini bread recipe. Hmmm...
I think I will try that :) Thanks!

Sweet potato, pumpkin or carrot?

Hm... Now I want quick bread.

Thanks, everyone! I think I will try the blueberry lemon bread first. That sounds just amazing... My kinky phone and I thank you all! :p

I'm making a very small test batch of rosemary cookies to see if they'll make the cut to become a part of my Christmas food gifts.

I've really enjoyed the vegetarian week J asked we have. We eat vegetarian about three times a week anyways, so it isn't that big a change, but it's been great anyways. I've been reminded of so many great vegetarian dishes, that I think we're gonna eat vegetarian next week too.

I think I may have asked for this before...but, does anyone have a tried and true Stout Christmas Pudding recipe?

An English friend of mine made it several years back. She said it was traditional at the holidays. It was delicious. I would like to make it, but I've since lost track of the friend. There seem to be a few online, but I don't have enough experience with the dish to know if they're any good.

Anyone? :)

I make a pudding at Christmas that is rather stout but the only stout involved goes into the baker. Can't help you. Have you tried figging pudding?

Mmmmm- Shake shack! Chocolate shake, fries, and a burger. Nom nom! We only have Freddy's here, but I get shake shack when I travel. Freddy's is pretty good as well.

I finally got a chance to look at the full Freddy's website. It doesn't look any more special than the 155 Culvers franchise burger joints in the Midwest that also sell frozen custard. The burgers appear to be pretty ordinary.

I made saag kofta and it turned out a lot better than I was expecting for the first attempt. I'm starting to get over my fear of deep frying, I think this was my 5th time already. :)

Are you deep frying in a pan or in a deep fat fryer?

Its a time of year where I might deep fat fry stuff ( Chanukah, I should have put some thing on the holidays thread about it I guess ) but we're skipping traditional foods because neither of us have the craving, g said he would sort himself out, but not bothered.

In a pan. I hardly think getting a deep fat fryer would be useful for us. This year I've deep fried more than ever - this was my third time this year. I don't particularly enjoy deep fried things and at least so far J hasn't been asking for them either.
