I always considered ducks a reasonable source for duck breast.

All the ducks I meet won't give it up :p
I don't want to hunt any, because I don't like wild duck taste. I actually prefer the grain fed ones :(
The duck breast here is super expensive, and frozen.
No thanks! I like fresh and reasonable :)

Low carb beef short ribs.

For a side we will probably do not low carb rice.

Bay scallops, bacon and green onion over cheesy grits.
Nom nom nom

Well maybe if you made something we all like...

Like I said before, this is not a dinner invitation nor it's a thread where I post food that everybody must cook. I promise, you'll never have to suffer from my unpalatable cooking, don't worry.

Cooking today: Jerusalem artichoke soup with yellow foot mushrooms on top and parsnip&carrot bread rolls.

Godammit...

Well... I would gladly cook for almost everybody who happens to drop by, but I feel pretty safe saying nobody from Lit is gonna just knock on my door here in my corner of the world.

I can keep on cooking ponies, moose hearts and beet pastries all I want. :p

Well, you never know...
One of these days.

No, I'm the polite kind and will call ahead.

It's been a while, but I was asking about vanilla and what to make. This morning I made French Toast and laced the egg batter with vanilla, nutmeg, mace, sugar, cream and coffee  It was amazing! I would do this again. Every day :D

I must be the odd man out because when I was growing up the egg wash for french toast was always eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla, and sometimes cinnamon.

My husband looks at me like I'm nuts because in his house french toast wash was just eggs and maybe milk. Stuff like vanilla and cinnamon was cause for asking "what are we celebrating?"

Yes, my house was simply eggs and milk as well. You're odd :p :p
I'm actually glad I don't have any cinnamon right now, I really enjoyed just the nutmeg and mace. You should try a little coffee in yours next time. It was heavenly!! :)
