Where are the New England Peeps?

So New Englanders, what is your all time favorite movie? I love older movies and I’d have to say The Hustler with Paul Newman is mine. Watched it for the first time with my Grandfather when I was a kid. He was an old time pool shooter and also loved this movie.

All time?

That’s actually really difficult.

It might be “There’s Something About Mary.” But then it might also be “Heartbreak Ridge.”

No real profound reason for either, except that I could watch them daily and never get tired of them.

The Great Escape: Amazing cast, and true story.
Good Will Hunting does make my top ten because I grew up in Cambridge, and it felt like a Cambridge story not told by outsiders, but people who lived it.

I’m at Boch.

Question: if you wear flipflops to Boch, and you’re waiting awhile, and theres a coffee table right there, it’s fine to prop your bare feet on the table. Right?

First, I have to challenge your defition of older. Older has to be something that came out before I was old enough to go to the movies. But that is an excellent movie (as well as the sequel with Paul Newman, "The Color of Money." I hate to admit that Tom Cruise can act, even though he seems to be an asshole).

I wanted to pick something set in New England. On Golden Pond is really sweet. Good Will Hunting. But those are not my first choices.

Depending on my mood, probaby would pick Vertigo. Or the Maltese Falcon. Those qualify as old movies.

Thank you! I am a little shy about saying too much about my precise location but last week I was eating lobster rolls with a friend on the beach and I once again can confirm that every stupid day of wintery mix is 100% worth it.
You have to take advantage of every beach setting lobster roll eating opportunity you can, because the summer goes quick if you aren't paying attention...

I don’t know that I could choose one… The Princess Bride and Fifth Element are the ones that immediately come to mind
