Why do some women's sex drive just stop? and others don't?

i have no clue why women have different sex drives at different times of thier lives.

For most of our marriage, our sex life was kind of standard …. sometimes, fucking my catholic wife was like fucking a loaf of bread and she always insisted on fucking at night and that the be lights off, etc.

in her early 50's my wife's sex drive started to increase dramatically. this was also the time that she was studying for her masters in theology, so i assume that younger guys were hitting on her at her classes and that triggered her sex drive.

a few yers later, she started to cheat on me with a few guys from our parish, including one of our priests. she has no idea that i know about her cheating.

since she has been fucking behind my back, she only lets me fuck her about once every 2 months, but she has become a different woman in bed….much more energetic and active.

Women, like anyone else, can have a mid-life crisis. People, both men and women, sometimes look back at their life, and decide they want a change. The clue here is that in her 50s, she started working on her masters. That is a significant change for anyone. Apparently, from what you say about her cheating, she decided to make a change in her life that doesn't include you!

When a woman starts cheating, (or a man for the matter), rarely do they ever stop, even when caught. They just learn to hide it better.

In my opinion, (considering the current status of your relationship with your wife), you have to decide what *you* want to do with the rest of *your* life.

That sounds to me to be her possibly going through some type of midlife crisis, I believe many people change as they age as far as both physicality and mentality are concerned.

I married a very Southern Baptist girl and she was also a virgin (or at least she said she was), our sex life hasn't been the most torrid but she does want to fuck whenever possible which as we age and our jobs become more demanding seems to wane a bit. Now is it perfect, No, she doesn't do certain things I like but she does still love oral (when done to her) and sex at least fairly often, now blowjobs have been off the table for a very long time as she at least tried to like it for me but it is something she just seems to be unable to do, also some kinky things I would like are things she isn't into considering but I do love her.

I have been on LIT for awhile I have written 4 stories. I see/read about so many women that are sexually active in their 50's and even 60's..Why are some stilll active and why do some just shut down completely?? I think many divorces, (among other reasons) happen this way!

It is just the way some people are I guess. My wife has a bi polar condition and that has been at least partly responsible for some of her extra marital behaviour. She is 68 now and has never, since she was in her early 30s, been without others paying attention to her. She seems as active as she ever was and seems to just snap her fingers and men come running. I don't find it in any way exciting as so many claim to do but it is an extraordinary sight when she is going to meet someone. She always looks genuinely stunning and is often taken for early 50s even when not trying hard. The code is usually 'shopping' and we have a don't ask don't tell relationship. She has been seeing the man next door since 1985, plus friends he has introduced her to and more than a few others, but he is 78 now and slowing down and so she needs her regular sessions with someone she can trust. There is an ex fireman in Maidstone that she visits at least twice a week and some weekends if there is an event at an adult club near Wateringbury. She also has no problem attracting much younger men. The one I caught her with in 2010 was in his early 20s and a few days after her 55th birthday. Trying to rationalise or explain why some women are like that is pointless. Some are just made that way.
