Yes and I think it becomes bratty when the person doing it doesn't know when they're crossing a line. It's no fun if it's upsetting to the other party. If, however, it gets them to get up and go when they would otherwise have gone to sleep... well that's a plus in my case this evening

However, I do have a slight question for you on the "half as fast" part. By "half as fast" do you mean "takes half as much time" or "takes twice as much time?" Your wording is ambiguous at best.
