Yank's Free Range Turkey Trot Warming House and Bondage Barn

I do like a man with a bit of meat and potatoes.

A tad younger is one thing. That boy looks younger than my son-in-law!

I think you should post... yourself. :) In a red sweater and a nice blazer, maybe.

With a flogger. You know, for the reindeer.

Shhh with that. I don't want to scare away the customers. ;)

And, approves!!!!

*points to MWY's new AV*

Though I rather agree with those that like Drunken Santa, Spanking Santa is a close runner up. Now, which mall does he inhabit?

Does no one fucking care about the passing of John Glenn?

Of course! :)

You have to remember that most of the board wasn't even born, and/or have no memory of the Mercury 7. Those epic events are something we read about, rather than lived. A very different experience.

Toss in the chaos of our recent elections and the holiday season and, well.... :(

I will be watching The Right Stuff this weekend in tribute. :rose:

I care but I guess I look at it differently...He was 95 years old and accomplished more in that time than I will ever accomplish, even if I lived a hundred lifetimes. It doesn't make me sad that he passed...it makes me thankful that this planet got him as long as we did. True Heroes don't seem to come around very often these days. I hope new generations read about his life and look up to him as my parents did, as they taught me to do, as I've shown my children to do. A truly great man who has left a legacy.

These are both thoughtful and generous responses to my mostly whiny - and definitely drunken - outcry. I had just turned 11 when Glenn flew his Mercury mission and, like all boys of that age, I was permanently imprinted by his heroism. For the same reason, no baseball player will ever surpass Ted Williams in my eyes. Oh, and for the record, Ted Williams was John Glenn's favorite wingman when they flew combat missions together in Korea. Thank you ladies, for your kindness.

The trouble with dedicating yourself to a precision method of making coffee (weigh the coffee in grams, use filtered water) is that many mornings you need to have already had your coffee just to make the coffee.
