~Zen Mountain~

Breeze blows across mountain
moving it like thoughts
move the mind.

snow capped mountains wind blown
swirls of snow dance till gone
like thoughts in the mind

Breathe of a fresh red bud,
Fed by April showers,
No mind in the making.

The mind of my thoughts is the
reason for the
face which smiles
but feels no pleasure

No Mind smiles when happy
cries when sad,
frowns when worried
and knows that all is one face

Soul Boosters

If you find yourself slandering anybody, first imagine that your mouth is filled with excrement. It will break you of the habit quickly enough.

Casting stones in the water
is mesmerizing,

but stones can't swim
so why toss them into the water?

Drowning a rock
is hard headed.

Tranquil waters bother you not
yet you shed ripples across it
just to hear the 'splash'

(scott asked for a zen poem about throwing rocks in the water!)

presents

eternity wraps
moments of love in time folds
life unwraps in rifts

Lifted from the sand,
Brushed free of grit,
Rubbed smooth in the hand,
Hefted and turned to fit,
Then unbidden it flew,
From hand to air to surface,
Driving ducks askew,
But, that was the purpose.

rocks

seek to be the rock
I would trade a lifetime of dry dirt
to fly across the water
and spend an eternity in the quiet of mud

a rock that sat in a heavenly world
picked up, then tossed and hurled
a skip and another with light lil splash
across the water the stone passed
then sank to the depths of the rivers bottom
now it adds color to natures aquarium

ZMP~ A mountain's tear drops

The shorlines laiden of stones and sand
Tear drops from a tempered Mountain.

The river washes them all away
or a mountain of tears, would surely lay.

A stones ultimate quest? That would be ...
to make it the bottom of the deep cold sea.

Laying in the baking sun's torturous light
wishing for water, where a stone's colors bright.

Beat by wind and sand then pelting rain
then comes the tormenting sun again.

Hoping to be the next rock that is cast
a millenium of waiting for the 'splash'

To break the tranquility and shatter a liquid mirror
another mountain's tear drop reached the water.

I thought I had it figured out ...
till I realized my problem was my thought.

Excellent!

Thought grasps at problems,
therefore holding on to them;
problems grasp at No Thought
but find no purchase.

Basking in the serenity that surround me
broken by the sound of my own thoughts

If the Rumbling thunder is Dinasours that made it to heaven
