✨Highlights and Bombshells💥

Well this has got me thinking on a Saturday morning

My six word memoir for part of the last decade:

I love this. Thank you for sharing this. 🩷

I think what I like about these 6 word memoirs is that, just like the title of the prompt suggests, the less words written, the more Im forced to fill those gaps on the page with my own thoughts.

For example, to think of you @Mei5ter as lukewarm about anything just doesn’t compute to me. So when I read this and think about what I know about you, I have a visual of alllllllll the things that you do, even before you get your first cup of coffee in the morning, and that’s probably why it’s lukewarm.

These are personal though. They’re journal entries, and sometimes how we see ourselves is so different than how others see us. It’s just so interesting and each one could be a long discussion, especially if you knew and cared about the author.

I haven’t spent tons of time thinking about this but it’s have spent some. And wow! This is a difficult challenge
Yes it is, isn’t it?

I look back on some of the 6 word memoirs shared and there’s a little bit of wistful quality about them. Others have a powerful feel. Some have an adventurous feel. I just really liked the challenge of the encapsulation and then what thoughts it prompted.

I guess another part of this that may have made it more of a discussion would be to elaborate on the 6 word memoirs. But then it wouldn’t be open ended for others to think about and draw their own conclusions.

Also they are personal so it’s one thing for someone else to interpret what I wrote. It’s another for me to talk about what my own memoir is about, if that makes any sense.

So, if you were to encapsulate a portion of your life - because the assignment for the above projects was broken into portions of their lives (grade school, teen years, young adulthood, later in life/current life), what would a six word memoir be for you? Do you have a photo, a work or art, a song, … something to help illustrate your memoir that you would like to add?
Somehow, I am hyper focused on an exercise I participated in months ago. There are typically six emotions attached to the project, sometimes less, sometimes more.

I’d really like to share some of my favourite finds from others who participated that I resonate with.

This is the template that they begin with.

I think they’re all quite special memoirs in their own way.

I’ll have to think on this more, but it’s a fantastic prompt @Love_Is_Blonde 💛

@Wand3rlust , @Lmizzler , @EvaLane , @cheekygirl75 , thank you for sharing your memoirs. I keep rereading them and each time I do, I think of how they could mean something different depending on what frame of mind the reader is in, too. I can think of times when I could have said something similar to each of these. And those are some memories I hadn’t dug for in a while.

Find the water, fix the leak 💧

So I’ve been thinking about your prompt @Love_Is_Blonde my first thought was to go with something a bit darker but after considering, my six word memoir would be:

Reading, listening, talking, exploring -
always learning
I’ve been thinking about what you said, @velona, and I hope that you feel comfortable writing whatever you are feeling.

My 6 word memoir could be hopeful one moment and dark the next and then sad and then scared… I have a range of emotions that could be expressed with this prompt. I don’t want you to change anything bc of any perceived parameters from me. Please use this space however you’d like to. 🩷

Thank you! I didn’t intend to say that it wouldn’t be well received just that I was feeling a bit dark but instead wanted to focus on something more positive.

I try not to stay in the dark spaces if I can find a way to move out of them!
