Perfect or Great Songs

Is there a more perfect, happy and beautiful sounding pop song than “The Blues Are Still Blue?”

I can’t think of too many.

This one takes the cake for me.

Underlying, the catchy music are some fairly depressing lyrics. Mundane Everyday life… doing shit we don’t like (like the laundry). At the end, it reminds us no matter we are, what we’re doing, the blues are still blue.

Whatever it’s really about, my ears find this song really yummy!

You just reminded me of this. Perhaps my second all time favorite song; Fire and Rain will always be #1 but Alvin Lee’s guitar playing was the best.
