This is gonna sound completely counterintuitive. We have bonfires a lot, even in the summer and in the winter out on our back patio. In the summer it keeps bugs away. In the winter it’s a nice early night on a cold day as the sun sinks lower.

We often listen to garage rock mixes.

This gem came on last night while we were having a drink with a couple we know.

I think Pink Martini is the first band I saw live but honestly I'm not sure. So many memories have already escaped me but I know I've definitely seen them perform this song at one point or another. I've always thought it was really cute.

I can remember stuff from ages ago like it was yesterday and have a vivid memory and can recall a lot of shit. Just don’t ask me what I had for lunch a few minutes ago or my sisters phone number… (I don’t want you guys calling her anyway! )

My dad made my sisters take me to see The Exploited and Kraut in 1982. The name of the club escapes me - some giant place in Brooklyn - and my sisters cannot remember either. It was a big giant warehouse kinda place. I was scared. My sisters and their boyfriends were all 4-5 years older and promised me I’d be ok.

I don’t really like the exploited much and technically Kraut was the opener and the first band I ever saw live. I was in tenth grade. This video was on pretty good ration on MTV back in the day. The whole night changed me forever!

I saw them at a private event a few years ago -- they put on a fabulous show! Just as much energy as I would have expected and so much fun! I bet that was a GREAT first concert.
