🎅☃️❄️Ho-Ho-Holiday Movie Showdown🎄🤶📽

What about the trauma themed ones like the Little Drummer Boy where his whole family are killed by bandits and he's sold into slavery and Nestor the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey where his mother dies in a horrible snow storm.
Always hidden lessons for us kiddos

I would play as this was watched and absorb subconsciously, I didn't care much for singy dancey junk, TNT showed me the beauty of the olde timey classics.
White Christmas

With only a few hours to vote, White Christmas is in a commanding lead and probably won't be beat unless someone makes an impassioned speech that convinces everyone to change their vote, and let the small Christmas Tree farm owned by her former High-school crush raising his two daughters after their mom died in a car crash not be sold to a greedy developer because they need money for the youngest girl's cancer surgery and you're leaving your stuck-up materialist fiancé and empowering job as a marketing manager in Chicago to live the simple farm life as a trad-wi... sorry... slipped into a Hallmark movie there... so yeah, looks like White Christmas will probably take this one.

I mean it is a long shot, or impossible shot but still voting for the movie I watch every Christmas eve, a Christmas story

The winner of Battle #8 by technical knockout (11-5), The great white hope, White Christmas. Winning with the second highest number of votes in the tournament so far, it tap dances into the quarterfinals to face Scrooge while A Christmas Story goes home to drown its sorrows in Ovaltine. Well that does it for the first round, so let's continue with our first quarterfinals bout.

Quarter Final Match-up #1

Scrooged

vs.

Die Hard

In the corner to my right, a movie that barely slipped past Elf to be in this round, Scrooged! And in the corner to my left, fresh off a TKO against Nightmare Before Christmas, Die Hard! It's the battle of douche bags (Frank Cross and Harry Ellis) getting their minds changed... though to be fair Ellis had his changed to pudding... Let the quarterfinals begin!

Why did these two have to go up against eachother!? Guess I will go with Scrooged!

This is an ugly matchup in my opinion. But I’m going to end up going with Die Hard for the sheer fact that I’m more likely to watch it on any given year instead of Scrooged.

And the first quarterfinal winner, by split decision (7-4), Die Hard. Securing its spot in the semis while the much loved but seldom seen Scrooged returns to its lonely, unregarded resting place, Paramount+. On to the next quarterfinal matchup.

Quarterfinal Match-up #2

The Muppet Christmas Carol

vs.

Miracle on 34th Street

In the corner to my right, fresh off a thrashing of the Grinch and with plenty more fight to give, just ask Miss Piggy, The Muppet Christmas Carol. And in the corner to my left, a movie that hits hard, right in the feels, with the only true knockout of the tournament, Miracle on 34th Street. This match-up puts my two favourite movies against each other, I can't watch, yet I can't look away! Let's start the battle of movies where non-believers find something to believe in again!

Oh, we have moved into the pain. I love both. But not equally.

The Muppet Christmas Carol is my vote. It is not only a fantastic holiday film for everyone, it is my favorite adaptation of A Christmas Carol.
