Throwback to my Christian days, here's a very 90s sound but in a good way, in my opinion anyway.

I've been struggling with this one all day. My immediate thoughts were to Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar album but that music was from confused and angry me and never quite fit though it was part of my teen rebellion.. because I grew up in an agnostic environment. Why was I rebelling against a belief I'd never been taught?

So I expanded my search, looking for key words and expressions. Then I went back to my trusty 'liked songs' playlist and found Lateralus. I appreciate the guy who introduced Tool to me, or rather, I appreciate the lessons I learned from him and the gift of new music.

Older me can hear the math and music and hurt and hope that called out to my youth. A Fibonacci rhythym with portmeantaus, a clean guitar I could figure out how to play, an overlapped vocal range I could mostly sing. Just enough esoterics to encourage deeper thought, with misdirection to create snickers when you dive so deep into meaning you forget to just.. listen.

And after this ramble.. I offer 46 and.. Kidding! I didn't quite get my 2nd song option so

It's very difficult for me to pick a favorite movie. One of my favorites is definitely Good Will Hunting and it did introduce me to a musician I love, for which I'll be forever grateful. Pretty sure this song/soundtrack won some awards.
