Doesn't anyone here like hoecakes (fried cornbread) aka johnnycakes? That's as close to a savory pancake as I've encountered. And if you haven't eaten a pulled pork BBQ sandwich slathered with BBQ sauce between two hoecakes than you've missed a real treat.
