It will be my birthday!​

And, I am oddly okay with it.. Although, this year is a bit different. After all, I do turn 40!

Husband has already begun the celebrations, and given me some new and fun toys!
It is known... Cats do enjoy new and exciting toys!!

I know, I try to remind myself of that.. it is not that I am terribly burdened by it.. I must admit, turning 30 was definitely much worse.. I think.. my birthday is in November, so.. There is so lots of time for me to get all flustered and nervous.

But, I am kinda okay with myself, and 40. I bet it is going to be fun!

I love the effect such small differences have!

- A slight change in pose?
- No... A different lightning!

Every little detail adds to the whole result, making it possible to tell so many stories.. With so few props.

That second pic makes me think that there is nothing better than a Canon between your legs

Like already has been said. Age is a number. I turn 50 Next. Still feel in my 20s mental age 16. (if I ignore the aches and pains)

40 though and you're definitely moving further into the Milf zone.

But yes, I know.. I think, for me.. I distinctively remember, the day before I turned 28.. I just said: guys, this is it.. I am not getting older!

And somehow that magic still last, I still feel as sharp and kæk, as the day before I turned 28.

It is a very silly thing, but ... We all need a bit of magic thinking sometimes!

Strangely 28 was the toughest year for me too. I know that men are in their prime at that age and I kept thinking it’s all down hill from here.
But finally realized my attitude dictated way more about how I felt than what my body would do.

I know what you mean.. that year, my 27th year of life... It was in every way, so intense and unpredictable.
So many things kept happening.. and, I just dealt with it, the good and the bad.

But that was also why.. that eve before my birthday, I had friends over.. just packed all of my stuff and was searching for a new place to live.

We were sitting on the floor, having Thai takeaway.. and listening to electro swing.

And I had that epiphany..

I am a grown up, I can handle every freaking situation.
And,
I do not want to lose this momentum!​

Because, honestly.. I think we have all had periods in our lives, where it felt as if the world just kept burning, crashing down.. exploding.. and, we got through those periods.

In that moment, I felt incredibly strong and capable (we are not mentioning, that I had to move out within 14 days, and I still had not found a place to live!)
And I thought, no matter what life will bring, I can take it!

Therefore, I did not want to get any older, I did not want to forget that feeling of strength and believing in myself.

.... Somehow, it worked!

Lordy Lordy who cares about 40!

It's 50 that got me. I don't imagine I'll live past 100 so I've realized that somewhere I crested the age mountain and am now on the downslope.

Don't let aging bother you ... it is a privilage not bestowed on all. Hope when your day comes this fall it becomes one of your most memorable birthdays yet!
