Husband has already begun the celebrations, and given me some new and fun toys!

Well... Yeah, we could.. I mean.. Cindy and I are talking, in each of our mother's tongue.. And understanding eachother, just to effortlessly switching to English (and I bet Cindy knows more languages still )

Still.. we are on a mainly English site, but sometimes... It is comfortable to speak our own tongue.

Also.. that is one of the points with my thread.. I want to introduce some Scandinavian, not only Danish.. But well... Nordic atmosphere.

When I was young and visited Copenhagen (I even went to school for a week there) it was no problem to speak Swedish and be understood. But now the younger people (20-30 mostly) switch to English the minute they hear that I'm from Sweden. I have mostly no problem understanding Danish if they don't talk to fast or in a dialect or slang. Then I have problems. I know and speak some words i Danish that helps me when a Dane don't understand.

It's okay, it's a text based forum for the most part and that's easy. Also you know what we say about Danes and Norwegians when it comes to language . That we are a dysfunctional family, you guys are our drunken cousins that slur your speech and the Norsk are our childish siblings that change the meaning of words to make us look foolish.

I have not gone back to reread your 'birthday" I would rather just stick my head in the ground and pretend it didn't happen although I do get to wish you twice in one year, which is pretty cool
