At worst Helsinki had more than Tampere, the southern coast really took a big part of the snow storm - that btw came from south-west! But it lasted a bit longer here.

From south-west... But, that is our direction?
But, we had snow as well! πŸ™„ Every day the news were full of warnings, highways that were closed because of huge accidents - people had changed their tyres from winter to summer tyres, which would have been quite sensible, if not the weather had decided to drop the temperatures to sub zero and letting it snow.

Still, our snow looked like innocent child's play compared to yours!

And now, 4 days later: 18Β°C and UV index 5.

Who said it was supposed to be easy?

Last summer was definitely a dud!! πŸ™„ The spring started so promising, we had a drought in April back then..

This year, we have beaten Every. Single. Bad. Weather. Statistics (7-9-13, salt over skulderen og bank under bordet!) In the spring already!
- So, please.. a dry and warm summer this year? Nothing crazy!! But, a couple of days around 23-25Β°C would be pretty amazing!! πŸ€©πŸ€žπŸ»β˜€οΈπŸŒΈ
I agree! More "normal" temperatures. I don't mind a few days of heat but some days of rain mixed with warm and sunny day would be nice instead of all heat for four weeks and then rain and storm for four weeks.
It was definitely bad for the harvests last year. And for the anyone who had the "ordinary hot time of the summer" as summer holiday...

I'm not too optimistic really, it's becoming more and more unpredictable.
Yes, the farmers were quite upset about the weather last year. We got new lakes out in the fields in some places. We joked about rice being the new nordic crop.

Well, hope is the last thing that abandon mankind...... :)

Not just the tyres...

In winter we can deal with the snow just fine, but the machines used to plow snow get their gear changed for cleaning the gravel away in April. So it couldn't be plowed normally anymore! It wouldn't have matters with 1-2cm, but with this amount it did.

And yeah, this week 18Β°C.

Next week the day temps seem to stay on the plus side, so I guess the snowing will happen at night.

And somehow, our dark and dry humour will ensure that hope is going to live forever! πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

Hopefully only for a few nights! It is time for our crops to get some warmth and sun! 🌾🌞
