The day is staying here, it has been raining for hours.. and it feels so cosy, just sitting here, drinking my tea... Wondering, where I may end up today.. When out walking..?
Yes, my phone is in the charger.. even though.. the internet connection is really.. unstable at best, non existent most likely.. but still.. I better be prepared!

So... As I may have mentioned.. Somewhere before I really do not have any sense of direction... At all!
It is.. well, some people are dyslexic, others have a hard time recognising faces.. I have no sense of direction, at all.

Sometimes I wonder, if that might be the reason why I ambidextrous.. or the other way around.
Right - Left.. it does not make any sense to me, honestly.. I do not.*know* which is which. I have to consciously think, using all the tricks and tips.

Oh well...
Just because I am lost,
It does not mean, I want to be found.

I absolutely love the fact that you live so close to a bird reserve. I wish that I did. I have not been to one for years. I used to go regularly for holidays to a whole group of them. It looks delightful where you are . The reflective bathing pictures are an added bonus .

Yes, I can imagine and I've had similar experiences in this country. There were lots of waders and seabirds, but eagles were not to be seen, as that would require a trip to Scotland.

I'm told that it's even better when it's a shared experience .

Oh gosh.. You are so right, every time I see the whitetailed eagles.. I just.. Stop.. Whatever I am doing in that moment, I stop..

Standing, gawking and in awe.

Those birds are.. beyond impressive!! And, that experience is so much better, when shared.

But, I am still going for a swim next weekend!

The Whitetailed Sea Eagles are... Gosh.. I usually turn into this, silly, blabbering fool..
I am lucky, truly.. unreasonably lucky, the area which I have the house in.. it got the perfect conditions for the eagles:
Huuuuuuge marshlands, old, old so very.. Very old natural forest.. no agriculture.. and obviously, lots of Sea!
It is a small peninsula on an already small island.

We have eagles there, by the dozens.. breeding.. living, being kinda.. unreal, I mean.. swimming.. Seeing their shadows... And looking up... Instant goosebumps!!

Majestic feels so.. cliché, as well as small.. the word does not give justice to the eagles.
You know, in Danish, they are lovingly nicknamed: "The flying door" (Den flyvende dør) - because of their shadows, which are often how you notice them!

I try my best, but.. The feeling of being in the moment, realising.. "This is something I will most likely never forget!" .. those moments are so maddeningly difficult to describe the right way!!

I'm trying to come up with a more suitable word than majestic. Nothing better springs to mind at the moment. It certainly is not original though, I agree.

I think the nickname, how.. unconventional and opposite of majestic it might be, does carry some valuable informations, which would help people, who might even never have seen a whitetailed sea eagle before, identify it.

Why?
It is the fewest birds that are able to cast a shadow on the ground, while flying.
They are simply too small!
But not this eagle!!! It is pushing our boundaries, and comprehension for: Big Birds.

- Even when flying high, high above you.. The shadow in front of you, will be cold, dark.. And bigger than a door.
Foreshadowing : The moment you look up, something huge and massive will fly over you.

The question then becomes foreshadowing what ? Would it be the moment that they land, the moment that they start the hunt, or something else? These are all rhetorical questions, but you are welcome to answer them if you wish . It is certainly a bird that nobody can miss.

It could be. Some of my best thoughts occur while I'm asleep or while I'm trying to go to sleep. Perhaps it will be the same for you? Only in dreams, in beautiful dreams .

Rainy days.. I do not really mind them, after all.. I would just end up being bothered most of the time then.
But, there is a significantly qualitative difference in rainy days!

Still, the city is not that bad... (Yes, I am working hard on convincing myself here) .. there are.. people.. Everywhere.. People (okay.. now I miss the forest even more!)..
Well!! There are museums.. I do like those!! Shops? (Yeah.. no, they make me miss the forest as well)

Oh well, time to put on those wellies and rain clothes.. surely there will be fun things to see, if I go for a walk! 🌧️🌧

Well, I am definitely no hero... But even us perpetual non-heroes does need some yummy meals to fill our stomachs.

- This was my quick lunch today.

Being back in the city, besides being surrounded by buildings and people.. (give me time, soon I am going to relax and enjoy it.. again.. ) it also means, there are a ton of appointments, meetings.. things to do.. that I.. well.. kinda.. conveniently postponed.. Until after the vacation.

- Yeah.. that is now..

My meals, I do not mess with those, many other things can be.. rearranged in the priority list.
But not my meals.

• I prefer homemade food.​
• I insist on sitting down, while eating.. no walk and snack.​
• I am trying to chew my food and eat slower.​

It is my small attempt on mindfulness, and just general : not stressing.
