😎 That Feeling When...

I love romantic histories, but people who write those things generally don't do more serious historical fiction, and there's a reason for that. ;)
England 1815. A Marquise says the following, the first time he meets the woman, who by the way is also the daughter of a man (tradesman) he is in great debt to, because he saved his life in the past: "My cock will fill you up."

I went back to check if 1815 was indeed the time period or I made a mistake and it was East End 2022. Right from the get go I should've known what was in store. But there was some mystery on the background and I'm a sucker for it. lol Stupid book.

You do wish they would use more period-accurate language for that. However, it wouldn't be terribly erotic if the man said to the woman after: "I have bespoiled your pantaloons!"

Oh, Idk about that. I think it's kinda cute actually. 😁

But seriously, I'm not an expert on 1800s dirty language. I just think the whole context was completely off. Not to mention some modern vocabulary about "feminism" thrown here and there for good measure. *insert double eyeroll*

Dude, I have separate folders on kindle for a reason. One is "Modern Romance" and the other "Historical Romance". Stick to it. Do a minimum research. Otherwise, all you are doing is just change the settings and nothing else. It puts me off and pisses me off. lol

Talking about erotic. The Age of Innocence came to my mind.
There is a moment where Countess Ellen Olenska (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Newland Archer (Daniel-Day-Lewis) are in the carriage together. That carriage is filled with sexual tension between the two. None of them says anything. Suddenly, Newland takes her hand and slowly starts to unbutton her glove. You see a bit of skin revealing. Unfortunately I can't find a gif of that moment, but it's one of the most erotic scenes I've seen.

And then, he finally kisses her wrist. It's "just" a wrist but it's highly erotic and it's beautiful.

TFW The person you are talking with on the phone takes a deep breath and says, “Well annnnyway”

My sense of smell is amazing. To a fault actually, but back before many many years of marriage squashed her desire, I used to be able to smell upcoming sex on my wife. I knew the time was now, NOW. Not so much. We have grown to used to each other, to predictable and quite vanilla.

So the moment from my youth when I could smell the forthcoming sex with my wife. Oh to go back to that time

TFW one of your students emails you freaking out because it's the end of the semester and she ONLY has a 91%. We only do letter grades, kid. 91 or 99 is the same. You know this.🤦‍♂️

tfw you know you shouldn’t say anything but feel like a coward or traitor to your own integrity if you don’t, and it probably gonna get worse once you open your mouth.
If it's truth, speak up.

TFW you've got your hand down her jeans, sucking on her nipple as she moans in your ear in a way that can only be described as eagerly...

And then her mom and daughter come home.
