🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

Well I hoped an easy 3.25 miles tonight would have loosened up the muscles. That backfired, lol. The soreness is not just creeping in, it’s gripping me tightly. I need to eat and get a good stretch in. Yoga on schedule for tomorrow.

On the other hand, now you get to enjoy a good relaxed, but probably a bit painful, stretching/ yoga session. 🙌🏻😉

And as @Lmizzler said: water and more water, you need to flush the waste out of those muscles. 🚰

(And maybe some camphor/ menthol creme? Well, you are probably no stranger to DOMS, but.. you did work your leg muscles pretty hard, just pay attention that they do not swell or that the pain increases. I have seen cases where people needed to go to the hospital because of overtraining. 🤞🏻)

And @Cat , yes I’m all too familiar with DOMS. I didn’t over do anything, just a little too much new, too quickly. I’m sure I’ll start coming to in a few hours and the yoga session tonight will be very helpful.

I was probably just thinking about myself, I might have this.. Kinda.. bad? Tendency to overdo HIIT, simply because I love it! 🙈

Yoga and stretching is always so pleasant.. when it is done! 😅

Thanks! It's fine, just a little sore today. Not my first skating injury to the thumb unfortunately. The last one was way worse but happened while trail skating. 🙈

Thank you! I bruise fairly easily as well, though with all the padding we wear I haven't had anything happen that's left a mark. Leave it to me to make it happen on my thumb! 😂
 
Last night was yoga, some balance work on my slack line, and a little bit of belly dance to loosen up my upper body and pelvis. The dancing wasn't pretty, but I feel less stiff for it so there's that. 😁 I ended with the dreaded foam roller on my hamstrings, calves and IT bands since they have been screaming at me since Tuesday night. I woke up this morning feeling a lot better, and the bruise on my thumb is already gone!
