The transportation is for poor people that live in what you consider to be nowhere...the ones who can't afford cars. It's all about taxes and tax base. From what I can see so far a lot of cities administrations are pissing the money away on projects related to Federal grant monies involving transportation. Transportation that goes from one nowhere to another. And the same can be said for many of the states. If you want small business to grow and thrive you have to put taxes in place to encourage same and in most communities/states that's a serious obstacle. Lawmakers and tax authorities would rather get checks from a few large concerns rather than have to deal with a multitude of small concerns. It's the taxing side of the 'Big Box' mentality.
Chernosoth has hit on a truism. Communities are organic and go through natural life cycles. They are born, mature, and then decline. A new generation takes advantage of the declining property prices and rebuilds the community. This occurs on a 40 year cycle. The trick for the various cities is to identify those neighborhoods that are near the end of their life cycle and to implement the "15 minute" program there. The down side is that this necessarily requires that the low income owners/renters be displaced. There is NO alternative to that. Low income properties are generally dirty, poorly maintained, and attract crime. NO ONE wants to invest in those areas.
“An advanced city is not one where even the poor use cars, but rather one where even the rich use public transport.”The transportation is for poor people that live in what you consider to be nowhere...the ones who can't afford cars.
You forgot a proclivity towards needing public transportationThe rich are not ever going to use public transportation.
The poor have a proclivity towards things like kidnapping, ransom and death...
Yet the rich do use public transportation in cities that have good systems. The rich are not ever going to use public transportation.
The poor have a proclivity towards things like kidnapping, ransom and death...
Yes, they do.Do they.
Of course, you have proof of that contention that lies outside of your limited imagination.
Bonus: Define "good" for our edification and where these "good" transport systems exist.
It’s your claim and you certainly don’t.*chuckle*
You got nothing. Liar.
Of course, you have proof of that contention that lies outside of your limited imagination.

Another post and still nothing to back up your claim. Now you’re resorting to personal attacks because you know you were wrong.I think that at birth instead of slapping your ass, your doctor hit you with a stupid stick.
We breathlessly await your answers because so far all you have done is be contentious without basis.
That's YOU not being able to back up anything you said, because it just felt good to say it in the moment.
The rich are not ever going to use public transportation.
His wife only lets him post every so pftenVinnyVeritASS is failing early and often all over the board.

No one asked you to prove a negative.*chuckle*
You cannot prove that the rich use public transportation so you demand I prove a negative, that they don't use it without realizing that my proof is your complete inability to meet my original challenge, that you demonstrate who and where are these rich people using public transportation. Or maybe perhaps, you're defining rich down to the granularity of "middle-class" because it's the only way that your contention is true?
More personal attacks rather than proof of your claim.Unfortunately, no day will be better for you. You are the epitome of failure.
More hate and personal attacks because you got called out for making something up.*chuckle*
I would admonish you not to get stuck on stupid, but..., ... too late.
Post 79 of this thread.Show us where I "made something up."
The closest I came was stating the obvious – you won't find Warren Buffet on the J-Train...
Unless, of course, you have some proof that the rich use busses and subways to get around, which you don't.
