You have to ask KarennaC. She brought up RD [Red Dwarf] in her sigline. And I happen to be watching it now. Brit scifi/spoof. Very campy and hard to follow their accents.

One ep had the crew time travel back to the JFK assassination and introduced time paradoxes. They resolved it by going back again, preventing his death then getting him onto the grassy knoll to shoot himself and making the world right again. A very weird show!

That sounds like a cool show. I read a book about time travel and it was so confusing my head almost blew up.

So whats everyone doing for July 4th? I actually live in Canada so our National Holiday is July 1st. I want to sit at the beach and do nothing

Google it. [Red Dwarf] It's a big cult show. In overall quality/ingenuity/thought provoking, I put it near the bottom of the best {Brit} SciFi. It's really a tongue-in-cheek spoof. UP from there, I'd list:

Blake's 7
and BEST of all Babylon 5 [partially Brit]

Best SciFi movies:
Blade Runner
Forbidden Planet
and topped by the original Lathe of Heaven. B&W, PBS

I probably left out 1 or 2....

As for ID 2008, Lady said she was getting a whole case of votive candles. I can't imagine why. But she said we'd have a HOT time.

Great. I hope it gets people to rent then buy the DVDs. I have all the original eps recorded on tape and then got the DVDs. I lost the tape of the ORIGINAL version of the pilot and I can't find anyone who still has it. The pilot online and on DVD is the revised TNT version. There were many diffs. What a great story! The story behind it is a big one in itself. I hope you are a fan too.

The scripts by the creator and author were published in 15 volumes in limited pub to order books. His comments are insightful and are interesting to authors trying to figure out how to get their own opus on air and movies. The few eps he didn't write are being published now in 3 more books. Of course, I have them all so far!

I've just started watching it. I never watched it when it was on Sci-Fi. I read about hulu on someone's blog, so I went to check out the site. I've watched about 5 episodes so far.

kewl! It works on many levels. Kids can watch the spacey stuff, but it's MUCH deeper than that. Wait until you get to the middle of s2, then go back and watch s1 again, even the pilot. You'll wonder How you could have missed SO much that was in plain sight! You should catch most of it by the 4th viewing.


When you reach the end of the NOVEL, you still get more by going back to rewatch it. Some backstory is in several books and graphic novels. There are only a few books that are not canon, the rest are excellent too. I'll point you to the best sites for deep discussions and the 'great maker's' online presence when you are ready. Enjoy.

I remember enjoying that when I had some TV reception. I think I only saw season 1.

I miss Dr. Who. The one who also played Puddleglum in an early BBC The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Season 3 or 4?

Okay y'all, after hours of work, I've got the Score Board updated. I *think* I've got everyone's updated scores. Since Lauren has not been able to get on much due to personal reasons, I decided to take on the task of getting it done. It's the first time I've done anything with the score board, so it took me awhile to get all of the new people added and do the switching around in the scores. Hopefully, I did it right. It looks right anyway, lol.

You know we have several real time machines. The best so far is called Hubble and it has let us look back in time 13+ billion years.

A little closer to home and without hardware, look at the moon. You are looking back in time 1.3 seconds, more or less. Look across you room and you are looking a few nanoseconds into the past {I didn't figure the exact number}.

Time is all relative anyway. Did you ever REALLY figure out what that strange thing called TIME truly is? I tried explaining it to a 9 year old and blew her mind.
