When you mentioned Racheal Ray I couldn't help but think of a funny thing the radio station I listen to did. They took the audio of her making a rump roast or something (I don't cook so I have no idea). If you are thinking dirty it really sounds like she's jerking off someone.

I need some help posting an illustrated story. It's saved as a Microsoft Word document and for some reason when I try to attach the file my computer times out and gives me an error message. I posted a bunch of illustrated poems a while back and did the same thing but didn't have any problems.
Can some cute compter geek help me out?

I haven't sent in my illustrated story yet since I can't use images from the net. I found several that map exactly to the poses I described. Anyone know of an exhibitionist or 2 in Hudson Valley willing to pose for me?


Anywho, if you're trying to attach it to your email, try a very small file with a small image just to see if that works. Some ISPs won't let you send BIG files by email. What is the exact error msg? Can you snag an image of it? (Use SnagIt or CLIPMATE?) You may have to think anyway.

You can submit the illustration through the email address. Just make sure you put the name of the story in the subject line of the email.

I will ignore the sexual innendoes at the moment (and yes I'm aware that I can't even spell that word.)
I'm submitting the story through the submit page on Literotica. The same one you use for submitting all stories. I normally cut and paste since it's the fastest way but I can't do that with images.
I can't figure out how to capture the image but this is the text that shows up on my screen:

There might be a typing error in the address.

I don't get how or when you see this. Are you online when you submit?
Did you try using the UPLOAD button?

From the FAQ:

I can't figure out how to capture the image but ....

Besides IRFANVIEW and ROBOFORM the other util I suggest for everyone is CLIPMATE. It does too many things to list here. The top 3 you'll likely use are:
- instead of the 1 CUT MS allows, it let's you PASTE from THOUSANDS of CUTs
- Spell checker (CUT your text, check it and PASTE it back)
- clip any portion of a screen into an image then paste it somewhere or save it as an image.

These all have PRO (pd versions) and FREE ones. GOOGLE them, you'll love them.

When you submit an Illustrated story you need to use the {UPLOAD} button on the form. It will prompt you for an address on your harddrive for the file you want to upload. Now, the pictures in your MS Word file must meet the size requirements outlined in the FAQ or you will have problems.

Once the file is uploaded you will get a warning message that the file and pic cannot be displayed, but the message will also explain that it could be simply that the site's robot readers can't read it and it might still be okay. Simply go ahead and submit but put a message in the notes box identifying your story as an Illustrated story and that the location of the images is where you want them located.

I think if you follow this approach it should work for you.

I thought it was something to do with the size of the photos - I keep reducing them - I'll play around with it for the next little while.

If you're getting that warning after hitting the {upload} button there may be a problem at Lit. On occasion I would run into an issue like that and just tried it again a day or so later and it had cleared up.

So that didn't work - but I decided to submit it by email but submit the title through the submission section of the website - I then got a prompt for what encoding I wanted to use.

Did you catch that when you do it that way, you don't just submit the title? You submit the text of the story through your submission page then send the pictures by email.

"Submit the text of the story through the Story Submission page in your author profile,

then email the image(s) to submit @ literotica.com - making sure the subject line of the email is the title of your submission.

In the Story Submission's Notes field, let us know that the artwork for the submission is coming via email.

Be sure to make notes within the body of the story showing us where you want each picture to be placed. "

Anyone know what the criteria are for ranking in the 'TOPS' lists... or where I should ask?

I happened to check the TOP 500 list and it looks like it's ranked by voter rating then sub-sorted by # of votes. If that's right, my Emancipation ch 01 story should be at #135. It's 4.92 with a whopping 13 votes. It's not on the list at all.

I went to the top by category, Exhibitionists, and it's not on that list either. It looks like it should beat the top story which is 4.86 and 49 votes.

If I could only remember how to insert an image in the body [not you this time Lady ] I'd stick some here.

It's likely that the lists just haven't updated since your story reached 10 votes (which is how many it needs to show up on the lists.) They don't update automatically like your member page. It's only done a certain number of times a day, I think.

I 4got to say that I thought that might be it, so I checked and see it and ch 2 were HOT flagged in August last year. Some of the other HOT flags lost and gained then lost the flag again, but not these two. I'm not upset, just curious.
