A lot of people will read a story of rape or sexual harassment or extortion, and somehow get the idea the author is advocating such things, and will strongly object. If people get pissed off by what the characters in your stories do, you should be proud of it.

BFW, 40 stories in 12 hours??? I am in awe! When you write, do you just type out what's in your head and then go back and revise/edit later, or do you tweak it as you go?

I don't set a time or word limit. Inspiration sets its own limit for me! I rarely 'feel' blocked since I won't sit and stare at a blank screen/paper. If a story doesn't insist I write it, I look at my summary of outlined stories and pick whichever leaps out at me. So many times I just want to add a 2 line memory jogger for 'when I'm in the mood' to write..... and the damn thing won't let me stop! That's usually how I end up with multiple open stories.

Karenna, I try not to slow down to edit on the fly. Once it's written, I go back for the wordsmithing. Yup, that can take 4everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

If I take a break from the multi chapter stories, I often have to go back to read it from the start so I stay consistent and not repetitive. By the 10th chapter of EMMANCIPATION, I'd re-read it THIRTY TIMES! I had to walk away though I have 5 more chapters outlined. The next one is nearly complete, but I wanted it in the ILLUSTRATED group and the rules say I can't use pix from the net. Know any exhibitionists who'd pose nude in Wendys?

Lit, I end up with multiple open stories for much the same reason; the idea hits and I can't let go of it. I don't intend to edit on the fly; it just happens as I go on and realize I've contradicted something, or glance at the screen and have my eye caught my an awkwardly phrased sentence or a missing quotation mark.

Boxlicker, I guess that means my new non-erotic series "A Sense of Symmetry" is doing its job; with five chapters posted, I've gotten 3 comments expressing hatred and death wishes for the main character, and yet all three of those commenters gave me a 75 or 100 (on the old thermometer scale).

Someone called my Nonconsent story "squirm-worthy". That's one of my favorite-ever comments. lol

I wouldn't worry about them hating your characters, just like I don't worry when they hate mine. At least they're reading the stories! lol

Hardly any of the characters in my stories are even disliked. A few are, but most of what I write is about people having consensual sexual fun with men and women and a unicorn and a Zoopian and a werewolf.

A Zoopian is a person, or being, from the planet Zoop, of course. I've only written about two of them, and one of them was named Zuzie. The other, also female, was named Tomiss.

Send it to me, not that other pervert, and I'll see what I can do. Meanwhile, search out IRFANVIEW. It's a universal viewer that plays sound, avi, MOV and other files. It also lets you edit and resize images, fix many probs etc etc. ohh, and it's FREE

I agree with you, it's not fair for someone to do that. This contest is suppose to be one writer submitting his or her own stories and not a collaboration of writers posting under one name.

Everyone should complain because if that is done, as Scouries suggested in his thread, that AH writers are getting together to ruin this contest for everyone, then they should be barred from the site.

Erin, I've won 2 immunities so far, and I've also written stories or poems in 30 categories, though they aren't all posted yet. (I'm starting to wonder if my illustrated poem is ever going to be posted; it's been over 2 weeks since I submitted it, but then again they had to reformat it.) I've started working on 10-storying some of the categories now; I'm hoping to do that with at least 20 categories.

BFW, darn you! You never told us you had a cozy room down here! As for being naked, well, if you hadn't given my clothes away, I would have been all set.
