Glacier Peak, North Cascades, Washington, from the north. The Dakobed Range is on the left. Image Lake is in the foreground.
Beautiful pic.
Someone said that a cascadiabound Lit return is not official until the Cascadia thread is bumped to the first page....
it's been awhile, and it turns out I did have a bunch of pics to share.

Glad you found this little corner of the PG

I am not sure I have heard that comparison, but Yakima is in the heart of agriculture for fruit trees, hops and vineyards in Washington

If you drive south on I-82/Hwy 97 from Ellensburg, you’ll see this sign on your right just as you’re entering Yakima. It was put up decades ago to lure Seattle tourists. There’s a brief story about it here. I drive through there pretty frequently and always get a kick out of it.

Wow! I love that. Thanks for sharing. Looks like I have some more road trips to do!!

I hear that Yakima is the Palm Springs of Washington. 🤔

This is a great thread! I had a blast looking through it. Thanks!

Very pretty pictures btw Cascadia. Dying to know where there is a haystack rock in Washington though? The only one I know of is in Oregon. But I haven't explored as much of the Washington Coast.

Hey Sassy - thanks for visiting :) -
Thanks for the correction - while there are rock formations that look a lot like Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach OR, there is only one sea stack which is actually named Haystack Rock. Check out Ruby Beach and Rialto Beach for wonderful sea stacks. I play along the whole coast and sometimes forget where the state boundaries are... It is all Cascadia to me.

I've camped up by Ruby beach once. But never actually been there. Hoping to do some more coastal camping this summer. We almost always stick to Oregon Coast though. This one of Haystack is on my wall though. I'll remove it in just a few. https://www.***********/s/wwgagirk0mps19r/20200104_144606.jpg?dl=0

I love that image - it is beautiful. No need to remove it on my account. Hope you get farther up the coast - I think you will love it.

That's very pretty. I just looked at my pictures and I guess we stayed in Seabeck, which is not at all close to Ruby Beach. I'll have to go there though. Thank you.

I will have to look back and see how many places I recognize. Probably take me a while, but I love the area.

Thank you for bringing back so much tranquilty and scenic beauty. It's great to see that the world is still out there :) .
It is indeed still a beautiful world in so many places and in so many ways. Today is an important day to be reminded of this. In Tacoma for a conference and the sky is clear and the mountain is out in all her glory.
There is a saying around here...
"Live like the Mountain is out"

I'll be back to post a glorious picture of Tahoma (Mt Rainier) when I can ❤️
