A Gallery: Delights & Splendors of Cascadia

Next time you are there...if it is spring time...drive the scenic route of the Gorge. It will be waterfall after waterfall. Seriously...you can easily catch 25 to 30 BIG falls...and if you want to hike in...holy shit it is pretty. These are less than 30 minutes from downtown.

If you are there in the summer...go up Mount Hood. Or if you have more time and want the shore...Cape Perpetua or Lookout is nice. Decent tide pools. Just looking for a pleasant time...Pacific City/Nescowin.

If you are there in winter...and have time...Hoh forest on coast of Washington. It is about 3 hours from Portland one way...but you will never see anything like it. It is God's vacation.

Don't get me wrong...there are hundreds of nice beaches. All public accessed. I love Ona Beach cause that's where I lived and where my daughter was born. But what I have highlighted here gives you dozens of choices at each
@Dribble is exactly right 💯

Giggles....werewolf territory
Forks has made money hand over fist thanks to that franchise.
I have some friends who came to visit WA from Sweden a number of years ago. They had a rental car and drove around the Pennisula. They rolled into Forks at dinner time only to discover there was some huge Twilight event and not a single room to be had. There are not a lot of options out there, so they decided to get some dinner at the diner and see if they could figure a plan. The waitress took pity on them and put them up in her guest room. They could hardly stop laughing about how surreal the whole thing was !
