A Pirates Life for Me. (IC)

"Many things I know about the Pirate King. But many are not for me to tell. What will suffice is the fact that if we enter into battle with Dolumar, especially in our current condition, we will be destroyed. Dolumar is not called King without reason."

IC: "So we can't compete in a show of force. What about diplomacy and stealth then?"

Genifur

IC: "Alright so we'll form a plan and move carefully."

I fliped on the intercom. "All officers to the bridge."

Max heard the call about a dead body in the brig, but of course, Max already knew that from his companion who had been watching. He had headed for the brig via the ventaliation shafts, and missed running into One-eye. He took the dead body and added it to the other two dead bodies, the ones of the Kreeyar killed in the assault on their ship. By now, they were producing a fairly nice stink.

Max then heard the call for officers to the bridge, and Max went, taking the ventaliation shafts once again.

Larinya quietly observed what was happening around her and was suddenly conscripted into the crew. She was on the verge of backing out and refusing to go with them when the one called One Eye turned and without further word, entered the ship.

She sighed, "So... looks like I'm with you then," she shook her head, grumbling, "There better be good pay!"

Then she began to walk up the ramp into the ship, following the trail of the snake, the avian and the other. She turned to the Sarconian, "Well, come on already! Show me around. It looks like she's ready to take off." Then she quirked an eyebrow as something slightly garbled came out of the intercom speakers, "Are you an officer?" She grinned and leered at him. It was her nature, understand that she wasn't being rude. She was just being her.

Lumara embraced Ren tightly. "Rise Ren, you did all you could. I already know what you did and went through. After i escaped the destruction of Ogdru, i signed onto a pirate crew, it didnt take long till i became captain, and from there i began building my fleet and levying tribute from planets by threatening their trade routes. I now command 20 ships and receive tribute from three planets. I changed my name to Dolumar, it sounds more fiercesome then Lumara." she said laughing. Ren stood up and laughed with her.

"My security chief brought me news of a large kreeyar convoy moving through the transitory mists, looks as if they're holding something big, unfortunately my ship cant handle it, Ogdru's Vengeance is powerful, but not enough for all that. But the Pirate King should have very little trouble, so have at it if your interested." Ren said.

Lumara looked at him with her large amber eyes and smiled. "Ren, i think its time we caught up on some brother-sister bonding. We will go after this convoy, and we will do it together." she said holding out her arm at an angle and her hand opened. Ren clasped her hand strongly and nodded. "Aye, we will do battle together, what better way to make up lost time?" he asked.

"Lumara, come with me to my ship, meet my crew, Ill have a meal prepared, ive never met a greater master of the galley then the one i have employed."

"Aye, lets do that." she said smiling, Ren offer her his arm and she took it, and they chatted carefree as they moved to a shuttle and set off toward the planet.

Cale looked up at the intercom when the Ctarl Ctarl pointed to it.

"I'm sorry that your introduction to the ship and the rest of the crew will have to wait but I have to get to the bridge and hear what One-Eye has to say about getting our captain back. Once that has finished I hope that I can come back here and show you the rest of the ship as well as try to plan how to get him back bacause I think that I will need your help. By the way; my name is Cale'iasia Taolas."

He quickly turned and ran away from the Ctarl Ctarl female towards the bridge. He knew that they were planning to get the captain back and he wanted to be there to lend some words towards it. He hoped that he would able to go down there with the Ctarl Ctarl as it would prove to be easier. He wished that they would listen to him.

"By the way; my name is Cale'iasia Taolas."

Larinya was about to reply when the rather large sarconian suddenly turned around and ran off into the belly of the ship. She raised an eyebrow and then sighed, stepping onto the ramp.

Often, in her line of work, she needed to follow her gut instinct. Her feline sense, as it were. This time was no different. Whether it meant adventure, generous pay or even an offer of death, Larinya was resigned to the fate she had just signed herself over to.

She absently touched the bulkhead and sighed again, at least now she would be able to get off this damned station. She wandered for a time, finding her way to the bridge. She stepped in and looked around, her eyes calculating and missing nothing.

She quietly slid up behind the sarconian and before he realised she was there, she said in a low voice behind him, "My name is Larinya. Thanks for asking." Her tone almost sounded like a sneer.

Before long the shuttle touched down in the Pirate Kings special reserved bay, and Lumara and Ren exited the craft laughing as the walked to the street. It gotten dark, but the streets were well lit, and still busy.

"You will have to meet my sensei, a true oldtimer is he." Ren said
"Aye?"
"Aye, he knows the old ways and still believes in the gods."
"How old is he?"
"around 800 i think. I dont really know."
"I see."

They carried on like this as they approached his docking bay, which still had a crowd outside of it.

"OI!! Away from my door ya dogs!" Ren roared, drawing his guns and firing into the air, causing a few to back away.

He accessed the door and walked in with Lumara covering his back, her own blasters drawn.

He saw his ship being prepared for launch. "Oi! belay that loading, rehook those fuel lines, relock those blocks! Who gave you orders to ready the ship?" He barked at a Riada deckhand. "Fir' May'." the man answered, his accent thick and difficult to decipher.

"JENIFER!!!" He roared as he strode up the ramp, and headed toward the bridge.

IC: Where is the crew? I went over to the bridge security station and began to suffle threw the cameras to find the crew. Most where in the halls moving slowly but steadily. That is when something cought my eye. The captain was boarding the ship.

The PGC official woke and found only a few hours had passed. This was stupid.

Rynver was tired of being locked up in this cabin. She banged on the door and kicked it a few times.

"LET... ME... OUT!!!"

Cale turned quickly to look at the Ctarl Ctarl who had just introduced herself as Larinya. He just looked at her and the only thing that he could think of was, Damn, she is fast. I didn't even hear her come up behind me.

He looked around just to see Gennifur standing over a monitor, obviously searching for the rest of the crew.

"Gennifur. We got the summons to be here. I know that the captain is missing which is why I volunteer to go and search for him, where ever he may be."

It was then that he saw the captain boarding the ship, waving his guns around like a mad man. Cale's first instinct was to go down there and try to talk to him, to try and tell him what was going on, that the only reason they were going to leave the station was because they thought he had been taken somewhere else. He could tell by the look in the captain's eyes, even through the monitor that the captain wouldn't have listened if he tried. It was Ren's ship after all and the only thing that he saw was that his crew was trying to steal it from him.

"I can see that the captain is back so that means that the search is off. But it looks like he is not happy in the least."

Ianthe hadn't know exactly what was going on but she was now surprised when the Captain had shown up. She knew that he was missing but not where he had gone. She saw him waving his guns about and retreated back into her infirmary to keep from getting in anyone's way. She wasn't exactly the biggest of people and her wings were not made of anything as strong as metal.

She went for her Comm and dialed the bridge.

She suspected that was where Cale would be. She hoped that he wasn't with that woman that had followed him home. Cause she was not going to share her bed with anohter.

Her heart hurt a little but when she hard the comm answered she quickly snapped back from her thoughts.

"Cale?"

IC: "I... I'm not sure whats going on here. Is he so skilled he escaped this quickly or is it something else." Perhaps a doppleganger of sorts? No that isn't likely. Is it?

"The way he looks I may need you to stop him from killing me." I turned to the equipment and looked for a switch.

I flicked on the intercom. "One-Eye, the captain has returned. Please join us for debriefing."

Ren exploded onto the bridge, with Lumara right on his tail.

"GENIFER!! I RETURN TO FIND MY SHIP BEING PREPPED FOR LAUNCH WHEN I HAD GIVEN NO SUCH ORDER! AN EXPLANATION IF YOU PLEASE!" he roared, as One-eye emerged onto the bridge.

"Calm now Rengakus." he said. He then turned to Lumara. "Greetings youngling, you must be Lumara."

Max took this opportunity to slither out of the ventalition shaft behind the irrate captain, and anyone who could read his reptilian expression would have seen a fleeting look of surprise.

"Indeed captain, you gave no order for launch," hissed Max as he rose up to the captain's eye-level. "For you were in no position to do so, having been forcefully taken off-world against your will. As witness to the fight, and as the Security Chief aboard this vessel, I saw it as my duty to inform the officers of this development. It was the decision of the officers to prep the ship to come and rescue you once the one called One-ey had assertained your location."

Max looked the captain right in the eye, his gaze almost hypnotic and relaxing. Max awaited the captain's reply, not even acknowledging the presence of those whom he did not know, mainly the woman One-eye had addressed as Lumara.

rengadeirishman said:
Ren eyes locked onto Max. "Am I to assume i was followed off ship?"

Max returned the gaze of the captain, his own serptine gaze almost hypnotic, in a calming sort of way. Little did the captain, or anyone else, realize, but Max was indeed trying to calm the captain from his rage, using the hypnotic power of his eyes.

"No, sir, you were not followed," hissed Max in reply. "You were tracked. I had a security matter to discuss with you." One of Max's eyes seemed to flick over to One-eye, but it seemed to an involuntary twitch.

IC: 'GENIFER!! I RETURN TO FIND MY SHIP BEING PREPPED FOR LAUNCH WHEN I HAD GIVEN NO SUCH ORDER! AN EXPLANATION IF YOU PLEASE!'

Suddenly all my thoughts left me and I froze. "I... I..." A shadow appeared behind the captain and spoke with a hiss.

'Indeed captain, you gave no order for launch. For you were in no position to do so, having been forcefully taken off-world against your will. As witness to the fight, and as the Security Chief aboard this vessel, I saw it as my duty to inform the officers of this development. 'Am I to assume i was followed off ship?' returned the captain.

'No, sir, you were not followed, you were tracked. I had a security matter to discuss with you.' spoke Max.

'Enlighten me Max, what security matter do you wish to discuss?'

"Sir, with all do respect we were trying to rescue you less then a minute ago and now your in front of us very angry."

Cale watched as the captain started to argue with One-Eye, Gennifur and Max and knew that it would be best if he was not a part of this. He had thought that the captain was on another planet, being held hostage by someone and now he was here. It was then that he heard Ianthe's voice coming over the intercom. He knew that she was worried about Larinya and how she had come onto the ship with him; he knew that he had to tell Ianthe that there was nothing going on between the Ctarl Ctarl and himself.

He turned Larinya, "There is something that I have to do right now. If the captain or anyone asks why you are on the ship just tell them that you came here with me. Tell them that you are looking for a job."

He looked at the argument between the captain and the others and knew that this would probably be the best time to slip away from here so he moved towards the door, took one last look at the rest of the crew then walked into the hallway. He knew that he could talk to Ianthe over the intercom but it would not be the best thing to do as he knew that she would ask for him to come down to the infirmary to talk to her.

As he walked away from the bridge and to the infirmary he was surprised by just how well he knew the ship. He had only been here a few days and as he walked along found that he knew exactly where he was going.

Several minutes later he came across to the door of the infirmary and stood there to collect his thoughts. He knew that he had to find the right words to say to her. He stepped forward slowly and as the door opened his eyes fell onto Ianthe who was still standing at the intercom, more than likely waiting for him to answer.

"There is no need to wait Ianthe my dear as I am here. I know why you want to talk to me but before you ask please let me say that there is nothing going on between Larinya and myself. I thought that she would be a great help in getting the captain back. She also came here needing a job. That is the only reasons why she is here."

Ianthe was close to giving up at this point, it was too much for her to think that not only had he brought another woman onto the ship when he had a perfecct good one waiting for him. Now, he was avoiding her calls. She was feeling more than a little hurt. Well that was until she saw Cale standing in the doorway.

It wasn't fair that he made her heart flutter.

That he could get away with everything.

"Hey..." She said as she listened to him speak. So he said he wasn't looking at her or even a little interested in that other woman. There was something in her that urger her to argue.

"Alright... I believe you..." She said after a moment. She moved a little closer to him and hugged him much larger from to her smaller one. "Thank you Cale..." She whispered.

As she hugged him Cale knew that of all the places in the galaxy this was the one place that he belonged to the most, in the arms of Ianthe. He knew of all the people that he had ever know that she was the one he wanted to share everything with.

"I know that you want to argue with me, seeming as I brought her onto this ship but I have to tell you the truth; that you are the only one on all the worlds for me. How could I think of sharing my time, my bed with another woman when I have the greatest woman in the world with me right now?"

He knew that it sounded as if he was trying to make an argument for himself but it as far from the truth as he could make it. He knew that he loved her with everything that he was, he knew that there was nothing that could stop that.

He leaned down slowly and carefully so as not to hurt her and kissed her softly on the lips.

"You know you are the only one that I love."

His whole speech was not something she was expecting. No, she had thought that he could come down and let her know that nothing happened, this was not the case. Her heart felt as if it was so fully it would burst.

"You know you are the only one that I love."

How was it that he had been able to do that with a kiss and a lecture.

"I know... And I love you too," she whispered back to him. She suddenly wished the day was over for real. She was ready for bed. Well, to be honest she kind of wanted Cale to carry her to their room. But she wasn't sure if it was wise just yet.

"Cale... You know that I really am glad that you came up here..." she whispered.
