So it was agreed the Pens will play a 5 game series with the Canadiens. All games for the entire playoff, regardless of team, will be played at 2 site "hubs", but one of those appears to be Vegas. Doesn't seem fair given they have home ice. But maybe since no fans will be permitted?

This is a toughie. Teams typically play notoriously poor at the beginning of a season. And starting a playoff under these conditions, that is essentially what we have...a start of a new season.

I would rather see a more random seeding in the second round
...I have no issue with the top 4 teams from each conference at the postponement getting byes for the first round. I think that is a huge disadvantage. Playoff mentality isn't a switch that can be turned on and off.

I would have just canceled the season and start anew. It is about money.

Agreed! I'm a little torn because I do miss hockey but coming back like this is not that same. The bandage has already been ripped off and I'd be perfectly content just waiting until the start of a new season. I read a quote from the NHL Commissioner where he said that he wants to bring hockey back immediately because the fans have an emotional investment and want the Stanley Cup awarded. For me, no matter who wins the cup, even the Pens, I will feel pretty unenthused.

I kept much hockey talk out of this new thread because A) the hockey season came to a halt and B) I received many "hockey is boring" PMs. (<-- lame...)

But fuck it... haha

For those that don't know, Crosby, Malkin, and Letang have my so I loved seeing a little love for #58
