A Summer to Remember

Amanda managed to not throw up in her mouth as she heard Serena talking to Brady about the night before. She couldn't believe her brother would go over to his ex's and have sex with her after what they had shared earlier in the night!!!!! What was wrong with him?!!?

Then she realized what he must have been thinking. Serena could be his girlfriend. Serena was a real relationship, even if a bad one. His sister was not. And could not ever be. She sighed as she listened to Serena continue the conversation, "Oh, you know! Having lunch! Girl time. Sharing lovely little man secrets. I gotta go, baby. I'll see you when I drop her off? Maybe we can go out tonight." she smiled and clicked her phone, but didn't notice that the call hadn't ended yet.

"Whatever you wish was going on between you and your brother--is nothing compared to what he and I share. You seem to have some twisted fantasy, but it's unhealthy. You need some help. Brady is in love with me, that's why he spent most of last night inside me. Do you understand, sweetie? I know you probably don't have any experience with men, but brothers and sisters don't get along like that." she touched Amanda's hand.

Amanda took a bite of her food, willing her eyes not to fill up with tears. Serena had some fucking nerve!!!! She couldn't even bear finishing it. She didn't want her to drive her home! What the fuck was wrong with this crazy bitch? But inside her head she KNEW that Serena was right. She may have been a bitch and come at it in a very nasty way, but she was right. Brothers and sisters were not supposed to share intimacy like that, and Serena and Brady had something much more normal and healthy between them.

She started her walk home, knowing it was only just a couple of miles. No way was she getting back in the car with Serena and letting her see the anger and tears on her face.

"I gotta go, baby. I'll see you when I drop her off? Maybe we can go out tonight," Serena said sweetly. And just like that the conversation was over, and Brady started to lower the phone, shock and confusion setting in. Before he could shut his phone, he heard Serena's voice again and lifted the phone back up, catching the tail end of what she was saying.

"...You need some help. Brady is in love with me, that's why he spent most of last night inside me. Do you understand, sweetie? I know you probably don't have any experience with men, but brothers and sisters don't get along like that."

"Serena!" Brady practically shouted into the phone, trying to get her attention, trying to shut her up. Then before he could say her name again, the line went dead and he knew that Serena had finally ended the call. He felt his face begin to burn with rage at the thought of his ex-girlfriend talking to Amanda that way. If he'd been there, he would have exploded in a cacophony of curse words but instead he sat on the couch and fumed.

Are you really angry because Serena said those things to Amanda, or are you pissed because she was actually right? What he and Amanda had done wasn't normal. It wasn't okay. He loved his sister more than anyone in the world, regardless of how much they had fought or bickered, but that didn't mean it was okay to have sex with her. By giving in to his desires, he'd put Amanda in to an unfair position. Now he needed to fix it.

Brady wasn't sure how he was going to repair the damage he'd done, but he knew he had to do something. He decided to start by finding Amanda and letting her know that he was going to be a better brother to her than he had been, no matter how hard it was going to be. And he was going to apologize to her for putting her into that position with Serena. What he was going to do about Serena, he wasn't quite sure. But he knew she could wait. What mattered right then, was his sister.

Serena's car pulled up next to Amanda about four or five blocks away from the cafe. "Amanda, come on! Get in the car, let me take you home..." she didn't apologize. She wasn't sorry. Of course not, because she was right. At least mostly. But Amanda didn't want a ride! She strode faster, looking forward.

She noticed her phone was buzzing in her purse and she looked at it. 3 missed calls from Brady. Before she could call him back, it rang again, "Hello?" she ignored the looks from Serena, who finally gave up and drove away. "Yeah, I'm a few blocks away from Cafe Lida, but it's fine. I'm walking. I'm fine!!!" she shook her head, not knowing what else to say, "I wanted to walk." Tears streamed down her cheeks as she tried to keep it together.

Brady raced out of the house and jumped into his car, calling Amanda's phone for the third time. After several rings, it once again went to voice mail. Damnit, Sis! Pickup! A moment later he pulled out of the drive way and headed toward town, trying to use his GPS to figure out where Cafe Lida was located. After finally getting the destination programmed in, he grabbed the phone and dialed again.

"Hello?" Amanda finally answered.

"Amanda...are you okay? Where are you?" Brady said in a rush.

"Yeah, I'm a few blocks away from Cafe Lida, but it's fine. I'm walking," his sister answered, her voice almost trembling.

"Amanda, are you really okay?" Brady asked again. "Why are you walking?"

"I'm fine!!!" she said, sounding frustrated. "I wanted to walk."

"I'm on my way there now. I'll pick you up," Brady said as he checked his side mirror and quickly changed lanes, his foot pressing more firmly against the gas pedal. "I'll be there in less than five minutes, okay?"

"Whatever! You don't have to pick me up," her voice raised several notes, as she struggled against her sobs, "I'm really okay. It's only a couple of miles, Bray." she choked slightly as she continued walking down the block. "Fine, whatever." she hung up, forcing her phone back into her purse.

Brady needed to go back to college. How were they going to get through the whole summer like this? Or she just needed to find him a girlfriend. They couldn't have sex again. They needed to stay away from each other and treat each other exactly like brother and sister.

Brady knew his sister well enough to know just how upset she was. He would have known even if she wasn't crying, but with Amanda that was a dead give away as to just how bad it was. Amanda wasn't really a crier. She dealt with stress and conflict in a lot of different ways, from cursing to sarcasm. If she was crying she was hurt.

The thought that she was hurt because of him, directly or indirectly, tied his stomach in knots. He drove faster, wanting to be there right then, wanting to hold her in his arms and tell her how sorry he was. It was all his fault. Whatever Serena had said or done, it was ultimately Brady's fault for letting it happen.

As he finally turned the corner and started down the street where the cafe was located, he immediately saw Amanda two blocks ahead of him. He swerved into the left lane and quickly made a u-turn to reach the other side of the road, cars honking at him, and drivers flipping him off as he did. He didn't care. She needed him, that was all that mattered.

"Get in, sis," he said as he pulled up next to her and pushed the door open from the inside. "Please."

Amanda used the bottom of her top to wipe her eyes as her brother's car made a giant U-turn through the street to get over to her side. She walked faster, not wanting him to see her this way. "No, I don't want to." he was driving slowly next to her with the door pushed open.

"Please, just drive back home or go over to talk to Serena." she turned away from his gaze,"Please Brady!" She strode faster. What the hell was wrong with her? Now her brother had fucked things up with Serena and had to drive all the way from their house to pick her up. He obviously was just trying to do the right thing. He had better things to be doing. He was supposed to be having a fun summer, not a stressful one.

"I don't want to talk to Serena right now, unless it's to tell her to go fuck herself..." Brady responded still driving along side his sister as she kept walking. "Amanda, I know that I fucked things up last night, but your my sister and I'm never going to stop loving you. I can't go back and change what's already happened, but you have to know that I...I didn't want to hurt you."

"Please get in the car," he pleaded again as they neared the intersection. "Let's just go home and talk."

"Fine!" she exclaimed, getting in. It had made her a little happy to hear that he didn't want to go talk to Serena right now, though she knew he'd go back to her eventually. "You-you didn't hurt me." she said as she closed the door, putting her seatbelt on.

"You're a good brother. And I know you care about me." she said, glad that he wasn't giving her the pleading look any longer.

After waiting for Amanda to buckle her seatbelt, Brady checked the side mirror, then pulled back out into traffic. He was relieved that his sister had finally agreed to get in the car, and that she seemed to be calming down, at least a little. Although with Amanda it was always hard to tell what was going on in her head. One minute she could seem perfectly calm, and the next minute she could fly completely off the handle. Though, under these particular circumstances, he really couldn't blame her if she did go off.

"I do care about you, more than anyone else in the world," he responded as he glanced over his left shoulder and changed lanes. He eased into the left lane, then turned his head to glance over at his sister. "Listen, I don't know what Serena said to you, but obviously she said something that bothered you. Do you want to talk about it?"

Amanda huffed noisily, "She told me a lot of stuff I needed to hear, as much as it hurt." she frowned, "Serena may be a bitch and she may have been out of line, but she was right. You and I can never be a normal couple, and what we share isn't right. She doesn't even KNOW what happened, but you should be with a girl you can date. The whole point of you coming down for the summer was to hang with your little sis and relax. Not be all torn up emotionally and ruined because of guilt. Go out and have some fun. Party it up." she wouldn't meet his gaze.

"Serena hurt me. But she hurt me because I knew she was right."

As Brady listened to Amanda, he felt his chest tighten. His frustration and anger with Serena only grew more intense, but his respect and love for his sister only grew more profound. She deserved better than a secret relationship with her lecherous older brother. She deserved a chance to actually be happy and that meant Brady needed to keep his hands off of her.

"Okay, so we're both agreed," he said, when she finished speaking. "What happened between us, it can't happen again. It was just a mistake. We have to go back to being brother and sister. And we can do that, I know we can. We just have to forget about those things that happened before."

"I don't want to lose my sister," he said, reaching down and patting her hand with his. "You mean too much to me."

Amanda nodded, pulling her hand away from Brady's awkward touch. "Yeah. Never again." Her heart caught in her throat as she said it, choking slightly. "Gotta find you a girlfriend. Though it doesn't seem like you have any trouble in that department." She gazed forward at the road in front of them, straightfaced.

"Yep. Don't wanna lose you, either." She forced a smile, thinking of the look on Serena's face as she had told Amanda about the night they'd just shared.

Despite the fact that on the surface the two siblings had agreed with one another, the ride home still felt incredibly awkward. Maybe it was because Brady still felt guilty about having gone to Serena's house the night before, or maybe it was because even though he said that they were just going to be brother and sister from then on, he was still attracted to her. Maybe it was because when he looked at her, he could still hear her moaning with pleasure, still see the look of ecstasy on her face as he'd been on top of her, still feel her legs around him, her back arching. He couldn't look at her face anymore without remembering the feel of her lips around his cock, or glance at her breasts without imagining them naked, remembering the feel of his tongue against her hard nipples.

Brady tried several times to make idle conversation, but none of the comments he made seemed to bring more than a cursory answer from his sister. When they finally pulled up in front of their parents' house, he found himself relieved to actually be able to get out of the car.

Well, dipshit, did you think it was going to be easy to just say, let's ignore the fact that we fucked last night? It's going to take time, especially after Serena shot off her big mouth, he said to himself as they climbed out of the car and started into the house. "I guess I should make myself useful today and mow the yard," he said as he pushed the door open for Amanda.

Amanda struggled to hold it together sitting next to her brother as he drove the two of them home. She wished that she could say she had gotten back to thinking of him in a simply brotherly way, but now when she looked at him, she saw him in a completely different light. Gone was the warm, sisterly feeling she got in her chest. It had been replaced by a raw, sexual feeling.

She could see the face he made when pleasured, the slight bite of his lower lip, the way his eyes darkened. She could see his face between her legs and his face in her neck as he pounded into her, making her come.

"Sounds good. I'm going to take a nap." she said, swallowing hard. He looked so handsome, she couldn't even look at him. She leaned against the doorway, watching as he entered the house. It was going to take a really long time before she ever got over her brother.

"Serena really likes you, I guess." she said, quietly.

Brady missed a beat when he heard Amanda's comment about Serena. He had been hoping that they could both just forget about his ex-girlfriend, at least for a little while. Doing his best to act non-chalant, Brady tossed his keys onto the small table by the door before responding, "I guess so, but then again I thought that before and she cheated on me."

Making his way through the dining room and into the kitchen, Brady opened the fridge and stared blankly at the contents, his mind very much on his conversation even though he was trying his best to act as if it wasn't. "I guess sometimes I fall into the trap of remembering the good times and forgetting all of the shitty things she's done," he said before finally closing the door. "But luckily for me, every time I start to think she's not so bad, she does something that reminds me why I broke up with her."

"Alright, I'm gonna go change into some lawn-mowing clothes and shoes," he announced as he headed toward the stairs. "Be back in a minute."

Amanda felt bad for saying what she had. Brady seemed to regret getting involved with Serena again, "At least she's a normal girl, though." She said, her voice still very quiet. "She may be full of traps, but she can offer you a real relationship at the very least!"

She smiled at him, breathing in the clean air of the kitchen. "Yea, lucky you. It's a good thing she does something shitty and crazy so you can remember why you broke up with her." Her voice was obviously strained, wavering as she tried not to cry. She couldn't believe he was saying that. Serena had hurt HER, not Brady.

She turned and walked up the steps to her room. She just wanted to be alone!

Every word that Amanda said seemed to pierce Brady like a needle, driving home the reality of the situation. Phrases like 'normal girl' and 'real relationship' seemed to sting especially hard as if to say, 'Hey dumbass, you've fucked everything up and in the process you've hurt the one person who you actually cared about'. He couldn't have felt like a bigger piece of shit than he did at that moment, at least not until he heard Amanda's voice start to quiver slightly. Complete and utter loser, he thought as he watched her walk past him and up the stairs.

To magnify his own sense of self loathing, Brady realized that he was actually checking out Amanda's ass and legs as she climbed the stairs. Groaning as she finally passed out of view, he slammed his hand against the wall in frustration, pulling back just enough at the last moment to avoid putting his fist through the wall. Turning away, Brady made his way out to the back yard, deciding not to worry about changing clothes before mowing the yard.

Making his way to the large shed at the back of the yard, he pulled the mower out and then the small, red gas can. He filled the gas tank up and then placed the can back into the shed. Slipping his t-shirt off and hanging it on the fence, Brady gave the cord on the mower a firm yank. It didn't start. Two strong pulls later, the motor finally roared to life. As he started across the lawn, he decided that the motor was almost loud enough to drown out the voice in his head that was telling him what a piece of shit he was. Almost.

As soon as Amanda was safe behind her closed door, she flopped face down on her bed. It didn't take long before the tears started to flow. As she was sobbing her heart out, she heard her phone ring. "Ev-evan?" She answered, trying to lessen the flow of tears.

"Yeah, just an emotional couple of days. I miss you, too." She swallowed hard. She'd cheated on her boyfriend. There was only one way, if there was one, to fix this. "Can you come over? There's something I wanna...talk to you about." She said it as lightly and cheerfully as possible.

"Sure, baby. Anything for you. See you in ten."

She hung up, knowing exactly what she had to do. Exiting her room, she headed for the bathroom to take a shower.

It was turning out to be an even warmer day than Brady had anticipated, and by the time he'd finished with his parents' back yard, his chest and arms were glistening with sweat. It felt good to do something though, anything that might take his mind off of Amanda. Half-heartedly, he wondered if he could mow all the yards in the neighborhood. Maybe every yard in the city. If he thought it would keep his mind off of his problems he might actually be willing to do it.

Pushing the lawn mower through the gate and starting toward the front of the house, Brady saw a car pull into the driveway. He released his grip on the handle of the mower, causing the engine to cut off immediately. Abandoning the mower where it was, he continued down the drive way, wiping sweat from his forehead. As he neared the vehicle, he saw his sister's boyfriend, Evan, emerge.

"Brady, how's it going?" Evan waved. "How's college life?"

"Hey, Evan. It's good," Brady answered as he stepped over to the young man and offered him a firm handshake. "Is Amanda expecting you?"

"Yep, I just talked to her a few minutes ago," Evan explained.

"Okay, come on in," Brady said, feeling some what strange talking to his sister's boyfriend under the circumstances. He led Evan to the front of the house and opened the door for him. Following him in he called upstairs to Amanda and let her know that her boyfriend was there. After grabbing a bottle of water he headed back outside to finish the front yard, leaving Evan sitting on the couch.

Amanda took a quick shower, not washing her hair. She soaped up everywhere and made sure she was smooth and clean. She took a couple extra moments stroking her soft, bare pussy lips. "Perfect." she whispered, washing off and getting out of the shower. She wrapped herself in her big towel, drying off.

"Hey sexy!" she cooed, winking at herself in the mirror. She tiptoed to her bedroom and put on a tight black bra and a slinky little dress. Amanda left the panties off, bending over to see that the very bottom of her ass and pussy lips showed when she did.

"Evan?" she called, from the top of the stairs.
"Yeah, baby. Down here." he stood up at the bottom of the stairs and she walked down them quickly.

"Hi." she stood in front of him, fresh with no make up and the sexy, little dress squeezing her tight figure.

From the moment that Amanda appeared at the top of the stairs wearing that sleek, black mini-dress, Evan found himself struggling to keep from staring. Her legs seemed to go on forever in that dress. And what fantastic legs they were. He smiled up at her as she began to descend the stairs, doing his best to keep his eyes on her face, despite how much he wanted to let them stray.

"Hi," she said as she stepped down to stand in front of him. It was obvious from the wetness of her hair, that she had just gotten out of the shower.

"Love the dress," Evan said leaning in to give her a quick peck on the lips. "So what did you want to talk to me about? Would you rather go somewhere to talk?"

Amanda watched as Evan checked out her curvy, lithe body and smirked. She loved the way he couldn't keep his eyes and hands off of her. But they had something important to talk about. He leaned in to kiss her quickly and she put her hands in the back of his hair, drawing him in for a deep, sensual kiss. She moaned softly into his mouth, letting go. "Yeah. Let's go upstairs and talk."

She led him upstairs by the hand, knowing he was checking out her legs and ass as she walked upstairs. Once they were inside, she shut and locked the door behind them. "Sit down." she said softly, gesturing towards the bed.

Evan was surprised to hear Amanda suggest that they go upstairs. Happy, but surprised. Even more so, considering her brother was home at the time. He didn't know much about their relationship, other than she complained about him a lot, but she assummed that he wouldn't be to keen on the idea of his little sister having her boyfriend up in her room, alone.

Not that he was going to argue. No he was perfectly content to be led up the stairs, his eyes glued to her legs and her ass, which was so so close to slipping out of the bottom of that little dress as she climbed the stairs. If only he'd been a few steps further behind her...Then they were in Amanda's room and she was locking the door. Evan felt himself becoming even more excited by the possibilities.

He sat down on the edge of the bed at her direction and smiled at her, "So what's going on? You didn't bring me up here to break up with me did you?"

Amanda closed her eyes briefly, telling herself she had to do this. It had to be done. She couldn't keep it from him any longer. She sat down as he smiled at her, looking at her. "No, Evan. Of course not. I love you." the corner of her mouth turned up as she saw the genuine concern in his eyes, despite his smile. "Really, I didn't..." she trailed off.

She sat closer to him, holding his hand, tracing his fingers with hers. God, he was handsome. She blocked the images of her brother out of her mind as she said what was she knew had to be said. Taking a deep breath, she smiled at Evan again. She was in love with him, right? He was her boyfriend. He had to know how she felt.

"I want you to make love to me, Evan." she bit her lower lip softly, "I don't want to wait any longer."
