No I have not reviewed all the evidence. I am not a investigator, prosecutor or juror. I read an article. Most people who post here base their posts on articles, rather than thoroughly reviewing the evidence. If you feel that a person who stabs a 9 year old girl to death should walk free, then we will have to agree to disagree.

I think a jury heard the evidence and ruled on that evidence.
I think that accidents happen and the jury believed this was an accident based on the evidence.

What I find amazing is how you're blaming Canada for a crime that occurred in the UK, by UK citizens to other UK citizens and was tried in the UK

In a Canadian newsfeed, my mistake. Still I see a guy walking free after stabbing a 9 year old and take exception. If you disagree that is your choice.

Yeah, the stabbing might well have been an accident (and that’s a BIG “might”), but not calling 999, not attempting to render aid, fleeing the scene after tending to some tasks, and then fleeing from police, sure sounds like 2nd degree homicide or manslaughter at best (worst?).
Unless the 15 year old boy suffered from some kind of mental disease or defect, the jury seems to have gotten this one wrong. I would love to hear all of the testimony, but from what has been reported…

Based on the facts of the case as presented, yes, I would agree that it should result in jail time. I am unaware of any other possible controversy, or other circumstances in the case that would shake this opinion; if they caught the guy and the evidence is oveerwhelming, then yes; he ought to be locked the fuck up and more.
