I suspect that you just haven't run across it in its most blatant form. It's out there and it's pernicious because it's human nature to do it. Racism has several different names, tribalism, bigotry, supremacy, and more, but all of it comes down to the same thing; someone believes they're better merely because they can talk down about someone else.

I think the original roots for it are biological, our tribe is better than you cave dwellers because we have to be. Otherwise we die and you survive. The bad part is that the same sentiment has wormed its way into modern society. Things like how we say stuff like my school is better than yours, my school football/baseball/basketball/etc team is better than yours, is where we learn it young and it stays with us as we grow older and start to follow collegiate and pro sports. Olympic athletes have to believe in it because valuable medals are given as rewards for proving it. And no, the medals and accolades aren't racist themselves but those things create an ability in people's minds to divide us based on made-up characteristics. It's no great leap to follow that to skin color, religion, origin, sex and so on.

Add to that is the understanding that pushing it can make you rich, which only confirms how you're better because you're rich and everyone you hate is poor thus they're not as good as you are, and it suddenly becomes a very rewarding business.

Once you become aware of it, it's difficult to unsee it because it's everywhere. Even those who profess to fight against it, promote it because it's their very lucrative cause. A cause that makes them rich while those they fight against become poorer and thus proving the concept yet again.

We're never going to be free of it either because there are those who revel in the chaos they can cause by falsely accusing others of it or by elevating it above the level it's at to one which goes viral and everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else and getting angry over it.

The solution is to not play the game. Be enlightened and don't fall for the tricks which beguile us. OTOH, don't allow it to be covered up merely because you don't want to see it since it affects you personally in a way you don't want to admit.

Any commandment which prohibits someone from communing with God in the way they choose, violates God's will and word. Further, the 3rd Commandment only prohibits taking the Lord's name in vain. Writing God's name in a way which doesn't do that isn't prohibited and any teaching/catechism which says so is merely false indoctrination and not the word of God nor His will.

It's interesting that you don't catch that such a teaching violates the Commandment to not swear false oaths or to take the name of God as a witness of divine truthfulness because such a teaching against writing the Lord's name is false.

It's also fails the test when applied to other religions/beliefs. The Great Spirit by any other name is God. The Hopi Kachinas are various aspects of God, which follows the original understanding of The Elohim as being multiples rather than a divine singularity.

Jews are an ethnicity that has its own religion, kinda like the Japanese and Shinto.
