Advice needed: blown off or not?

Yesterday I was at my favorite cafe in Portland. I got a phone call and went outside to talk. I looked back inside and I met the gaze of an extremely attractive girl. She kept smiling at me, and we kept locking eyes.

I went back inside and sat down across from her but got another call. Damn! It was important, so I talked for a few minutes, and the girl kept looking at me.

She got up to leave with one of her friends, but before she left, she gave me a slip of paper with her #. She also locked eyes with me for a good long moment and smiled.

So, one day later, I called her and left a message. I said thanks for the #, etc etc, and left her my #. Haven't heard back today.

Paranoia? Will she call? Perhaps she wants to make sure she doesn't look desperate, so she won't call me for a few days?

And FYI, I called her one day after she gave me her number because I don't really care about weird rules about waiting or whatever. The message I left, however, was most certainly NOT desperate.

It's a game. I hate them. Good for you for breaking the rules. I would guess that she is waiting the X amount of time to get back to you or she is really busy. You don't know much about her. Maybe she out of town. One tip. If you really want to talk to someone don't leave a message. Just hang up and try later. After of a couple failed attempts then leave a message.
