Want some nitpicks done, again, imp?

Sure ... but for stories that are NOT bolded, just send 'em directly to the author (as I don't have those files yet).

Thanks!

Okay, but not bolded where? I can't seem to use the link any more to the volume-by-volume listing.

At last! Thankee, imp. :D :D

I got an illo for one of the poems already: Oh, No... I shall scan it and send it to you. The poetess approves.

Yes, she most certainly does!

I thought it was going to be in Volume 4, not 3. Must get my bio to you soon, imp.

Also, I'll be PM'ing you a slightly edited version of the poem.

:)

Spotlights

Okay, people -- take a look at the blog:

http://eroticanthology.blogspot.com/

I did one "spotlight" post (first alphabetically). I'd like to do one for each (willing) contributor. What you see is the basic format I'd like to use. An excerpt could also be included.

The posts can be edited as needed (as future volumes are released) -- and they can also be linked on a separate page (as I'm building with the right sidebar "Cast of Characters").

If you do NOT want a spotlight post, please let me know via PM or e-mail.

Thanks!

Oh -- turned off avatars & images, and set options to just 10 posts/page -- MUCH FASTER! :nana: Course now I can't SEE y'all. *sigh*

Anyhoo -- Blog update: The author spotlight posts have been created for all who've been in one of the already-published volumes or have material vetted for upcoming edition(s). If you want to add to your spotlight post, just e-mail or PM me. You can include an excerpt, if you wish.

I wanted to get at least this must done prior to the Milwaukee book signing and upcoming Playgirl article (where, I hope, we'll be mentioned -- I included it in the bio I submitted, anyway). December issue. Should be in stores late next week.

Going to try to get tables of contents posted this week, too.

If you want to be able to post to the blog yourself, just let me know the e-mail address you prefer to use & I'll have blogger send an invitation to join the blog. That way, you can post your excerpts yourself and not make so much damned work for underpaid Imp. ;)

Bios still missing for CharleyH, Duel Citizen, lil_elvis, lucky (off the top of my head) and others. You can see who's missing by clicking on the "Author Bios" link in the right sidebar:

Volume 1 has been reviewed by Mrs. Giggles:

http://www.mrsgiggles.com/books/anthology_coming.html

Keep in mind that Mrs. Giggles doesn't like much ... and although the review itself is not favorable, the score of 66 is not a bad one for her. I disagree with much of what she writes (including that claim that poetry is included just to make it more respectable).

I have heard that even a bad review from Mrs. Giggles is good PR.

Like, what-EVER.

Wow. Quite alot was said about me. Not sure what to think of that. Lol. Cool for publicity sake, though, I think.

"While the story of an invisible gal and her boyfriend is mildly amusing (Not What You See, What You Feel by English Lady), like its title, the story misguidedly attempts to emphasize so much on "what you feel" that the sex scenes often come off as either too cold or too overwritten to the point of floridity"

I'm kinda proud of that *laughing* it's going in my sigline....

Imp *laughs* yes, i didn't think I'd get a mention, so I was kinda pleased when I did...and i came out as "mildly amusing" and my name is spelt right too :nana:

I think it's not a bad score really, and it's only her view, and have you seen the kind of stuff she gives high scores too? (76 was the highest score i noticed....)

She accused me of trying to be taken seriously!!

*pout*

Puhleeeeeaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeee

And as for the comment.....'maybe they even enjoy writing poetry'.....well, duhhhhhhhh.

I'm not sure whether to be pleased or offended that I didn't warrant a mention. ;)

I wasn't in the first volume so I don't have an opinion. I noticed she spelled Yui's name wrong. :(

That didn't stop you from having an opinion about the cover, the blurb, etc. ;)

Giving this review a second read, I can't help but notice that she seems to slam it because it's not what gets her off. I have a hard time respecting the opinion of someone who could pen a sentence like: "This anthology contains poetry as well as the more conventional prose you and me are familiar with." Um, hello?

Mrs. Giggles said:
Many authors here place too much emphasis on using languid and airy-fairy prose to describe the sex act, as if they want me to believe that sex is taking place on some magical metaphysical plane or something. I find myself wanting some rough and dirty playful moments.

... says to me, "I didn't understand the big words. Stick to the 4-letter ones." And, her own skill with the pen (keyboard), lends credence to that interpretation.
