Theres alot of things id like to show you, cailin rua. Dan thought to himself, for he was far too much a gentleman to say it aloud. "Donegal you say? That's where my clan is from. Grandda is from Donegal, up in Inis Eoghain. My Grandmother is a Galway town girl though. My grandfather was born Cahir O'Doherty, but changed his last name to an american variant cause he was running from the bloody saxons. He may have had something to do with some mysterious assasinations propagated by the IRA" Dan took a last hit and flicked the cigarette away. "And this is my first day, only place I've been besides my room has been this here patio, and the Brandy and Cigar club across the way. First day and I already managed to get in one fight, with some blustering brit who got all up in a tizzy becuase I bumped into him and spilt his brandy, I even offered to buy him another one. Last time I saw him, he was layed clean out on the floor, taking a little nap." He smiled his most charming smile at Devin, and met her striking gray blue eyes with his emerald green ones. Turning to the massive Norwegian he said "How bout you Orn? you want some ice cream?"

"You never get too big for ice cream," he said with a smirk. These two held his interest they both seemed rather open and ready to share their past's with anyone willing to listen, almost as if begging for someone to pay attention to them. Possibly they had always felt alone was the reason, or it could just be a coincidence. You did not have to have keen senses to pick up on the fact that Dan was trying very hard to sweet talk his way into Devin's heart. Though, Orn surmised, it would probably be beneficial for the two of them, living in the same room and all. The day was going well and it seemed his dream was not far off.

She perked up when he said that his clan was from Donegal. "Well, I've heard a bit about the O'Doherty clan," she said with a sly smile. "Old man Bierne had quite a bit to say about your clan when I mentioned I was going to join this here facility." She watched him flick the cigarette into the courtyard and wondered if it was always going to be as laid back as all of this, just hanging around... How long would they be able to just relax.

She laughed at the story and found herself fighting back a blush at that smile. Oh this Danny was a charmer, it was new for her to have to worry about blushing. "I wish I would have come earlier and seen that," she chuckled.

"Excellent." Dan got up and walked over to the main door and swiped his keycard. "Ladies and Giants first." he said, holding the door for them. Looks like I've got a worthy squadmate he thought to himself

She tossed her own cigarette out before heading out the door. She waited for the big men to join her as she got a good look around at the place. It wasn't huge that was for sure but it wasn't like she was used to a huge living space. "So this is the common room for us to share then right?" She asked as she walked further in.

"Aye, your room is up the hall to the left directly across from mine. We were lucky to have back door on our dorm for instant access to the patio." Dan went and retrieved three bowls and brought the ice cream out. "I've got peanut butter cup, choclate chip cookie dough, and chunky monkey" he said putting the things on the table. he went and grabbed a chair off the patio so that there were enough. "Welcome to our humble abode, I think it has a certain spartan charm to it. I dont know if we can smoke in here or not, which is why its good to have direct patio access."

She rather liked the fact that they could get out to the patio so easily, she could see that there were some that would not have that luxury. And as he sat the peanut butter cup she snatched it up with a grin. "Well thank you Danny," she said smiling sweetly, it wasn't a smile that she would normally wear but when she had it out for others to see she could get away with murder practically.

"I wonder how long it will take to get settled in..." She said with a sigh as she sat down in the seat Dan had brought in. She opened the ice cream, ignored the spoon, and dipped her finger into the not too frozen but not unfrozen ice cream. She quietly sucked on her finger before laughing.

"I love peanut butter!"

Dan watched her suck the ice cream off her fingers. well theres a thought he thought to himself. "have as much as you want" he said Helping himself to some chunky monkey

She saw him watching her and her eyebrow arched gracefully as if to ask exactly what it was that he was watching. She took up her spoon after that and ate the ice cream as any normal crazy Irish person would. When she was sure he was watching again she gave the spoon a long seductive lick as if to just tease him.

"So, what was it that you two were talking about before my unexpected arrival?" She asked. "Anything strange I should know about you I should know before agreeing to stay here Danny?" She teased.

"We had only just exchanged names, he apparently caught my little duel at the club." Dan said, taking a bite of ice cream. "I had been going over the fight in my head, he left me at least six openings I could have killed him with, but I chose not to." he said matter of factly, as he removed the sword from his belt, and took off his shoulder holster. He got up and put them away and retrieved several whiskey glasses. He poured a some for each of them and slid the glasses to Orn and Devin. "Im anxious to get to the fighting myself."

Devin nodded as she listened eating her snack with a smile. She wouldn't look at the calories nor how many servings there were in this one container... She was simply not the sort to care about such things. She watched him walk off and smiled at Orn who had been so quiet.

"Strong silent type right?" She asked with a smile. Dan returned and whiskey was distributed to the three of them.

"I'm anxious to head out to the motor pool..." She said. "I figured today would be a good day to rest up after the plane," she said.

"Motor Pool huh? its always nice to see a lady who's skilled with her hands." Dan said, sipping his whiskey with a mischievous grin. "So Orn whats your dorm number?"

She shot him a look at the hands remark. It was obvious that there was something going on here and while there was that girly side she hadn't spoken with in years telling her that he was attractive and that she should say something cute, the tomboy side wanted her to make a smartass comment.

"I'm pretty good with my hands," she admitted with an equally naughty look in her eyes. "How about you? How many hours do you spend polishing your sword?" She asked. "Does it get much use?" She was laughing on the inside and that was clear from the way her eyes danced with mischief.

Ah, a battle of wits and innuendo then. I can play this game He smiled and chuckled inwardly. "My sword never needs polishing, It could use a new scabbard though." He said, licking the ice cream from his spoon suggestively. His eyes locked on hers. She does have beautiful eyes. he thought to himself, plunging the spoon into the ice cream a little more forcefully.

She found herself shaking her head and chuckling before looking back up to lock eyes with his. Devin knew that it wouldn't be hard to get lost in his. "Do you go through a lot of scabbards?" She asked nonchalantly. "I have one, but I don't just let anyone use it," she said with an evil smirk.

She raised an eyebrow expectantly.

"It has to be a special scabbard. Im rather fond of my sword, and thus I cant just sheathe it anywhere." He said, enjoying this battle of banter.

"Oh? A special scabbard?" She asked her eyebrows raised. "Well, I do have a special scabbard..." She said as if this was nothing dirty at all. "I mean there aren't many people willing to just give away scabbards like mine..."

She was trying not to laugh.

"Are you sure you could handle my scabbard?" She asked curiously. "I may need to take a good look at that sword before I let you have anything."

Dan chuckled softly and once again locked eyes with her. "By all means roisin, inspect my sword at your leisure. My sword has never met a scabbard it couldnt handle, the better question is, Could your scabbard handle such a weapon?"

"Roisin," she said with a tiny smile.

"That's why I need to see the sword..." She said. "I don't want to put a sword that is too small into my scabbard..." She chuckled. "And a sword that's too big could cause damage... But I have a feeling that you have the right sized sword for this scabbard, Danny boy," she smirked.

"I think you'll find my sword most pleasing lass." Dan said with a smile. he then turned to Orn. "More whiskey my friend?"

She smirked. "I'm sure you'll find the scabbard to your liking."

Devin didn't care that Orn was sitting right there. She simply smiled before taking another bit of the peanut butter ice cream. She seemed perfectly content to just relax there with the two men. "Well, I think that I have made my first two friends in this place," she said.

"What sorts of groups do you suppose they're going to seperate us into?" She asked. She caught the Irish American's eye and smirked playfully before licking her lip. She was not a shy girl that was for sure.

"No idea, but I am going out for a smoke, you are both more then welcome to join me." Dan said getting up and fetching his sword belt. He walked out the back door and lit up. That girl has got some fire, that's hot. he thought to himself

Devin looked to Orn, he had been so quiet so far. Her eyes followed the man out and she seriously thought about jumping his bones out there... but she knew better. She strutted out to the patio with her ice cream and took a seat on the table looking out at the other men just hanging out.

"How long before these things really get to us?" She asked. Of course no one really knew but it was a thing that everyone would worry about.

Dan had hoped Devin would come out too. "No idea lass" he said in respnse to her question. That girl is something special. he thought taking a drag. Careful now danny boy, dont go getting too attached or anything, you only just met her. "We'll just have to see what happens." he said to himself.

"See what happens with what?" She asked stealing his cigarette right out of his mouth before taking a drag and setting the cancer stick back between his lips. She sighed and walked over to lean against a chair and look at the sky. Her eyes fell shut before she felt herself genuinely growing tired, perhaps she should have gotten more sleep on the plane.
