Devin had to laugh a little bit at the misfortune but was glad she had asked before they had gotten to a crucial part of it all. She followed him out, calmly ignoring his drinking so much so quickly before hugging him from behind. She rested her face against his cheek and gave him a cute little half kiss.

"It's alright Danny, I am sure that we can find someone that I will let up borrow one..." She reassured before coming around and sitting in his hap. "Don't get all buckled over something like this," she comforted drawing his face down for another kiss.

"Let me see your smile Danny," she purred, just sitting there resting against his chest and body in general.

Dan gave her a slight smile and put his arm around her waist, holding her close to him. "I think theres something special about you Devin Roark." he said as he held her on his lap. It was then he realized he was still shirtless, and his countless scars were visible to all, but there was something he liked about the feel of her on his bare skin, so he made no attempts to put a shirt on. "your probably right muirnin, after all, who has more prophylactics then soldiers?" he said chuckling

The sniper was undisciplined, a trained sniper was not likely to waste ammunition and risk giving away their position by firing so randomly. James noted this as well when Kaili jumped in her bid for freedom, that one final round puffed into the dirt well after she had moved past.
At that moment, James abandoned his barrier, sprinting for the safe zone himself. He calculated that either the sniper was distracted, trying to reorient on James's former position or out of ammunition and changing his magazine. In either case, James leapt, tucking himself into a ball and rolling once to come up standing just in front of Kaili. There was a flash of green and a loud, buzz.

Objective complete, mission successful. Simulation ended.

The war torn city vanished, to be replaced with the darkened room they had first entered. James was brushing off his grey jumpsuit.

"That seemed simple enough, well done cadet Kaili." he said, bending to retrieve his hat halfway across the room. "Would you like to conduct another operation ma'am?"

"Well, thank you Danny... I feel the same way about you," she managed before cuddling closer to him. This was new... She didn't normally like just curling up in someone's arms and just resting.

She laughed because it was indeed a good question. There weren't many people that she could think of. "Of course I'm right..." She said with a smirk. Devin looked up at the man in who's lap she sat and felt the need to play with the hair on the back of his neck. "And I'm pleased that you wouldn't do anything so dense as to try and get in my knickers without some kind of protection..." She pulled him down for a kiss.

"Aye." he said, kissing her with a smile. "This is nice too nay?

"Quite nice," she said as she allowed her eyes to fall shut. What? She had been very tired. "If I'm starting to bother you... Just tell me to get up..." She insisted as she began to trace easch and every scar on his chest as if she intended to heal it.

Not that he wasn't still gorgeous with the scars.

He sat there with Devin in his lap, and slowly felt soothed by her fingers tracing his scars. Slowly he finished his smoke, and fell asleep.

Devin smiled when she felt his body relax under hers. She opened up those big eyes and had to smile at the defenseless strong man in who's lap she sat. She craned her neck up to give him one more kiss, simple, soft, delicate... She rested back against him and found herself humming softly, for no reason other than it would be relaxing for them both.

"You've had a long day too Danny..." She chuckled before giving a yawn. She closed her eyes, cuddled close, and moved off into her own sleep.

He smells good... Was her last thought.

Dan awoke about 2300, and noticed Devin sleeping in his lap. He smiled and kissed her gently, before picking her up and carrying her to her bedroom. He then took off her shoes and socks for her. He quickly scribbled a note. going to the club, be back later. and signed it. He then covered her in what looked like a handmade quilt and kissed her again. He quickly went to his room and put on a his dress shirt and pants, but did not put on a tie or button his shirt all the way. he slid a .45 into his holster and the baldric carrying his sabre over his head. He then walked to the club.

It was 0100 when Devin finally woke. She looked around and found herself in an unfamiliar bed, still dressed, and covered up by her favorite quilt. She saw the little clock and frowned. She couldn't remember where she had been for a moment but then she suddenly remembered.

"Danny?" She called. The Irish woman wondered where he had gotten off to. She got out of bed and began putting her things away. She laughed as she saw the sweaters... She could have sworn that she had told her father that she didn't like pink... Oh well, he tried so she had to give him that she supposed.

She opened up the window and let a cool breeze into her room before returning to unpacking...

Everything was so quiet... She wished that she wasn't so alone.

Dan got to the club and picked his table, ordering a Madura Seran and a glass of Bushmills black label. He then went to the restroom to retrieve some cologne. He put some money in the machine and took the small bottle of cologne. he slipped the bottle into his pocket and stared at himself in the mirror a moment, before noticing another dispenser hanging on the wall. Jackpot he said to himself as he slipped more money in and took the box that was vended. He put those in his pocket too before washing his hands and face and drying them. He then went out to his place and picked up the cigar and whiskey. He lit the cigar, took a sip of whiskey, and relaxed.

It was around 0100 when dan left the club, smoking the last bit of a cigar. He walked up to the back door to his dorm and swiped his keycard as he threw out the stump of the cigar. He walked into the dorm and flipped on the light. He walked to Devin's room and knocked lightly.

Devin looked up from her spot on the floor when her door was knocked on. "Come in," she called as she folded up the last of her coveralls and up the into a pile. She had stripped down only a moment ago to only her bra and a pair of boxers that her youngest older brother had gotten her.

She smiled.

"Hey," she leaned back on her elbows. "I was wondering where you went. Thanks for putting me back in bed," she said with a soft giggle.

Dan walked in, looking quite good in his dress shirt and pants, with his sword and pistol on his hip and his officers hat on. He stretched out on the floor next to her. "No problem roisin, Just popped across the quad for a stogie or two and a few drinks. Didja get my note?" he asked

She smiled when he was down next to her. "Note?" She asked looking confused... She peaked under the bed... apparently she had knocked it over. "Well... I did just now," she said with a laugh. "What were you doing at the club?" She said with a smile.

"had a couple cigars, a glass of whiskey and a pint. I also bought cologne, because i forgot to pack mine." he took the cologne out of his pocket and sprayed his wrist, he then held the wrist up to her nose. "I bought something else also." he said as he looked in her eyes.

Devin's eyebrow raised as she smelled his wrist and smiled. It smelled really good actually. She set the note on her side table and then looked up into his eyes. She could tell that he had gotten something that was special...

Her mind wandered for awhile and then what had been going on earlier jumped to mind... She found herself smiling at him. She moved closer, never taking her eyes from his until she was up close... Her head bent and she gently kissed his neck... her eyes questioning him to see if that was what he had really gotten...

Dan ran his hand down Devin's body, to answer the question her eyes were asking. he bent and kissed her neck, pulling her close enough to then kiss her lips.

Devin smiled at his kisses and her hands slowly moved to unbutton that shirt, it would be in the way if she didn't get it off of him soon. It didn't seem like words were needed. She slowly moved to her feet and pulled him to his... Well, she didn't want to get a rug burn...

She found her bed with the back of her legs and was sitting on it before she realized that she had found it. She was surprised for only a moment before she was gently trying to get him next to her.

He followed her lead to her bed. once she unbuttoned his shirt he pulled it off the rest of the way, revealing the beater under it. he then yanked that off and fell to the bed next to her, kissing her neck.

She smiled as he kissed her neck resting on the bed next to her... She let her head lay back to her could access her neck better. What? It felt really good and he was was making her all... tingly...

There really was no better word for what he was inducing with his hot touch and his strong body. She let out a pleased moan as a hand found it's way under her bra...

Dan kissed the spot where her neck meets her chest as his hand found her pert breasts beneath her brassiere. He quickly pulled off the garment and his mouth found her stiff nipples. His free hand found its way down her body and pulled her leg around him. His strong hand took firm hold of her breast as he kissed her lips fiercely.

Kaili watched James go get his hat. She noticed that he was kind of cute but his arrogance was a turn off. Maybe he just needed to relax. Kaili said, “Maybe some other time. I just arrived today and still have things to take care of. Thanks for the offer though.”

She remembered that he had shown up about the same time she did and thought that perhaps he didn’t know anyone here either. Kaili turned to walk out called back over her shoulder, “I will probably be going out for a drink tonight. Feel free to join me.”

Kaili walked out into the Battle Gurls clubhouse. Everyone left in the room had calmed down and she managed to walkout without more then a few odd looks. She would have liked to stay and see how James faired walking back out but she needed to get back to her dorm.

When she got back to her dorm she changed out of her dress uniform and into shorts and t-shirt. She had to do some digging but found the bag of dog treats. At least that would make up for leaving her four Siberian Huskies alone all day. She left her dorm and followed her map outside to the track. On the far side of the track was a row of dog kennels. As she approached she could hear the sound of dogs barking.

"are you sure this is what you want?" Dan asked, as he gently brushed the hair from her face.

She stared up at him and had to smile at the question she was asked. She looked him right in the eyes... "Danny, you're a real man..." She said as she sat up. Deep down she was nervous... "You have to understand that... I wouldn't want a one night stand..." She said still looking him in the eyes.
