AI A New Era - 11111100110

I didn't plan to enter anything for this challenge because I got focused on a story for the October "Amorous Goods" anthology.

But an AI related idea jumped out in my mind this morning, and I'm now about 1,500 words into it. With five weeks to go, I think I'll have something done by then.

So just checking I've got this right - we can submit from next week, but nothing will be published till Sept 6th when all the stories will be released together?

Okay, so, yes that's what it says, but now that you mention it, last year they were being posted after receiving approval. So I don't know if they'll be available ASAP or held till Sept 6th. I'm good with whatever works for Lit organizers. Good question!

Okay, thanks. My story has been ready for a while, so I'll probably stick it up ASAP and see what happens with it.

I'm a bit confused too, now. My understanding is contest stories post as soon as they are approved but event stories usually don't post until after the deadline, when they all go live together, but perhaps that's not the case for all event stories.
 
I just put my story up. I had to or I'd be picking at it until September. 27K, it ended up being 3 times bigger than I wanted

I really think I got the spirit of Artificial Intelligence into the Science portion of the story, and a purpose I pray it might be used for in the Fiction portion, the rest is all fantasy of an unrepentant James Bond fanatic.
